Just curious.. Months of going through the topics here, i came across this term very often. i know its a shop where they do stuff like bore, skim n sleeve. But where can i find them? I mean what kind of shop is it? I dont remember seeing any shop with the term Machine Shop in their signboard. Pardon me for my noob-ness. Its just that i dont get it. i google-d and found this:
Hup Fatt Motor Vehicle Engineering Works in Selangor, Malaysia - Malaysia Yellow Pages. Is this the one that is referred to as machine shop here?
I'm not asking this for fun but i'm actually thinking of sending my block to one of these shops to get it re-sleeved. From what i've learned, its quite necessary for me to do that. I just wanna find these shops and ask more bout their service, price and so on.
Btw, anyone knows roughly how much is to re-sleeve?
Thank you and once again pardon me if this topic is silly. lol

Bro ddv, normally shops that do bore, skim and sleeve the signboard would normally would have the words ''Engineering'' behind it such as Ah Fatt Engineering, Ah Kau Engineering etc etc....

thanks a lot bro.

anyone should be able to do the job correctly right? or should i be worried bout poor workmanship or skill that would do more harm to my block? any shops with good reputation that u guys know of? preferably in jb or seremban.

if u send your to to yr mech, he should know wat to do...& send it to the right machine shop....

I got ear from a grease monkey there are engineering shops fabricate aluminum alloy lower arm? Anyone in the know?

u mean the rear lower control arm? i think ur better off buying the current branded ones.

the thing about the LCAs is not the arm itself...but the bushings. honestly itll be better for u to just change the bushings of ur current arm instead of buying LCAs (unless u want the bling)

for hondas...the only LCA known to have good bushings are Function7...n theyre not available in this country unless u order urself... ORIGINAL skunk2 are alright oso...hardrace oso ok...

watever u do dont buy Jasma as ive heard of them breaking.. Blox has sucky bushings.. mine lasted for about 6 months only (but ive changed them to custom soft pu bushings from forumer BESIXTEEN)
