Porsche's newest 911 variant, the GT2- powered by the same force-fed 3.6-liter flat six as the Turbo, yet only sending power to the rear wheels, it's destined to be one of the greatest tarmac toys of this decade.

Some enterprising web-geek was able to download a scan of the GT2 brochure and aside from all the glossy photos.

Updates !

Following last night’s 2008 911 GT2 brochure leak, Porsche decided to let out the first official images of its fastest and most powerful road-going 911 up to date.

2008 Porsche 911 GT2

* 3.6-liter twin turbo flat six
* 530 horsepower at 5,600 rpm
* 505 lb.-ft. of torque from 2,200 to 4,500 rpm
* 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds
* 0-100 mph in 7.1 seconds
* Top speed of 204 mph
* Curb weight:: 3,175 lbs
* Titanium exhaust
* 6-speed manual gearbox
* Launch control system

Porsche GB also confirmed a few other details: the GT2 will go on sale in the UK in November 2007, but it’ll cost a little more than we’d anticipated: try £131,070. Links:Autocar - Official pictures: Porsche's 911 GT2

bangkai, i think its for the kill, checkout the GT2's torque figure and compare it to Dodge Viper or the Mines Skyline. VTG turbo's ftw ?

1 teh tarik saying this GT2 would outperform the new GTR.
To be fair, the new GTR is supposed to go up against the "run-of-the-mill" 997 Turbo and not the hardcore GT2.

There will probably be more focussed GTRs later on to take the fight to the GT2.

so lets take the alleged top spec EVO version the GTR to go against the GT2 fair enough ? while comparing the base spec version against the Turbo.
