Hi,

1. Anyone know if it is possible to find K20a engine in Msia? Esp. from halfcut/kedai potong?

2. Also K20a 6-spd gearbox as well?

3. How much for engine and gearbox?

Thank you

very possible.. 28-33K depending on condition.

But better you buy complete car like the DC5R in UK, since they're also right hand drive and bring in using AP, since you're coming in three years, and I think if you can prove your ownership is beyond 2-3 years, you can bring it in with minimal or zero tax. I'm not sure about the process nowdays, so try inquire with the Malaysian Embassy there. They probably know the current laws governing the nuances and procedures of bringing your car in UK to over here.

Thank you. What about engine only - not halfcut? On ebay here can get engine only about £1500-2000.

I'm thinking of bringing back an Elise with Audi turbo engine but there's one Elise here with Rotrex-supercharged K20a - 360hp!

But not sure can get another AP anyway, I used my student AP to bring back a car from N.Zealand. Hope to use my wife's student AP.

Dunno about engine currently, estimate about 8-10K.. and it's just the block and the head. No intake, no injectors, no extras. If I'm not wrong... the prices you quoted are the engine including the intake, injectors and engine harness, I think.

I think if you buy e-bay over there cheaper. The transport charges and taxes are the main worries when you want to bring it over.
