jeremy clarkson talk about savvy

Savvy's chassis is indeed tough no joke man. It has that cutting edge look which I fell for since it was launched, I dunno why many people said it's ugly. Test drive it and be amazed.

If you take the british and their jokes seriously, you've got it all wrong... geez.
JC especially, he exaggerates a lot. Who the hell would really believe that we make cars in the jungle.

Oh and hypermount, I dont see where's the problem in telling people to choose Volkswagen over Hyundai if they're priced the same and are from the same category and class. Its the Germans vs. the Koreans for goodness sake.

If you make a great car with quality why not ask people to buy it based on true merits, avoiding a car because of its brand name is just not fair. As far as I know Hyundai has the best warranty package in the UK.

I find British humoir is cruder than ever before nowdays and offensive, poke fun and wind up at each others expense. It's not that I'm not used to british humour, I watched their shows like monty phyton some parts are funny some are not cos they exaggerate too mcuh..give me non nonsensical and sophisticate American sitcomes anytime. Its like what they did in that episode when they built a car from washing machine .. it's too offensive I feel it's not funny anymore.. I forced myself to smile, can't even laugh...to develop a car for mass market IS not easy and it involved millions of man hours. They just did not appreciate people's effort and I find that is sad.

Some find it offensive, some don't. I for one, belong to the latter category. I don't find their humour offensive, in fact I belong to the category of people who believe we should be able to make fun and laugh at most things, even oneself. The cruder the better. I'm just sick of all the politically correct overtones everywhere in the media nowadays.

actually, savvy's price is way too expensive. same goes to waja @ impian in UK. and that's one of the criteria made when judging a car. and same goes to JC.

proton had forgotten, they started proton car sales in UK in 1989 as cheap but high quality made as well as reliable.
in 1989, proton saga was as cheap as Yugo, Skoda (still independent that time), Seat. but the build quality was twice better. fit and finish also better (if anyone remember how saga UK spec looks like).

specification also better. and best of all, it was cheap.

as proton brand grew in UK, the franchise holder took advantage by increasing the price. they also gave the best warranty in the business alongside Daewoo.

amongst them
1) 2 years or 50,000 miles (or sumthing like that but definitely longer than malaysia)
2) 10 years anti rust warranty
3) 6 years power train warranty

given that waja's price was about 13,000 pound sterling, which is similar to ford focus and volkswagen, even the low spec ford mondeo - which one wud we buy? still the waja??

and, if we are publishing our own magazines we wud surely recommend the best to our readers rite?

jeremy clarkson is doing what he does best. i am not totally pro to him, but he was in car testing market since the 80s. how can we all compare to him?

You have to remember that korean cars depreciate a lot more than their european counterparts... if I remember correctly, his point was people buy Korean cars for their low prices. But if its priced expensive, and doesnt hold its value well, whats reason is there to buy from a relatively new company in the market?
I thought that was sensible car reviewing.

As for Monty Python, they rock.

I dont even want to comment on Clarkson bashing anymore. Its a bit like fighting over football.

Yes.. I will truly stand up for malaysian automobile... Yes we do not produce cars like Aston Martin, VW, MG's, Chevy's etc etc.

Anyway after watching the video I think its not fair for him to talk about Malaysia in that manner. He is old and a junk.

Even we do not produce good car but thats what is made cheap by the government here, screw what other says, Malaysian's will condemn Proton to the max and the next day go to Proton Edar and a a Proton booked for themself... its all in the system. One thing for sure, Malaysia thinks they produce the best car, thats why they tax imported cars up to 300%... hehe.. if they are good why do they tax such a big amount... let the nation decide which is the best...
