Hi,

I'd like to know what injectors are good upgrades for this engine (rb20det - 270cc). So far everybody come up with the Rx7 550cc injectors (direct fit, need to mod the socket a bit) or the GTR injectors.

But these injectors are a little too big for my setup. If there anything else which is top feed high impedance injectors around 300-400cc?

thanks in advance.

regards,
GTS

yo

arent rx7 and gtr 444cc inj low impendence? im planning to put in mitsu gsr 390cc high impendence to my rb20det...let see how it turns out.. currently im running out of steam at 0.7 bar.. so inj have maxed out then.

wahhh so secretive, ok ok ok, wont ask... jus tot 2 ask if u noe any

gud luckw if ur TOp secret

ehheh

not secretive..i myself dunno..heheh but i think it should be the same... so when ive done the mod, ill tell u guys..

Dr D. Thanks for your reply. I was looking through a similar thread within this forum, there's a guy running on the RX7 injectors and it is running too rich even after the SAFC was installed. He mentioned that his mechanic, confirmed to him that the GSR can be used for an upgrade but I am not so sure about how it goes.

I too have thought about it. But i havent seen a set of GSR injectors before, is it the same length as the RB20DET... if it's of high impedance and the measurement is the same, then it'll be great.

Running out of steam? It shouldn't run out of steam when u runing 0.7 Bar. My car's stock boost is 0.8, with the stock turbos and its running fine - never failed on me.

I am upgrading due to a new turbo. If i don't get an injector upgrade, then it's meaningless if i don't fully utilize the turbine :P

Keep me posted on the results ok? When are you installing it?

of course, but it depends on your setup. If your car running let's say around 280ish horsepower... i don't really need such big injectors right?

The 270cc injectors in a 6 cylinder setup is good for around 270-300hp safely (correct me if i am wrong)... so if you want to run let's say 300-350, you don't really need injectors the size of a monster.

So it depends on what your car need...

wellz need to noe da replacement injectors....

http://www.meggala.com/injectors.htm

dey also said its rx7 series 5, but not sure wif rb26, but need da resistor pack
anyone done it b4?

Thanks a bunch! But RX7 injectors is difficult to come by... and what i heard is, there are 4 injectors there and 2 of them is suitable for rb20 which is top feed, the other 2 is side feed.

So in order to get those... you need to take out from 3 halfcuts... to get 6 injectors :P.. SAKIT...

haik

yup gsr inj fit perfectly if im not mistaken same socket somemore.. just need safc or reduce ur fuel pressure..

dunno la why 0.7 out of steam.. my turbo is slightly larger than original but after i change to apexi 280l/hr fuel pump its running ok again can go up to 0.9 consistently summore. my fuel pressure maintain at 3 bar at idle

the old fuel pump must have been almost "kong" ler... ok got the safc, now i am jsut looking for the injectors. Where you got them?

kiki

i dont have the complete set of 6 injectors yet..darn have to buy two set to get complete 6 injectors... the apexi fuel pump, i got in puchong.. ok la the price but damn noisy la... i actualy got greddy adjustable fuel reg.thought of letting go for rm250.

Hey all,

I installed the GSR injectors onto my RB20DET! Yeah, no problem withit, just need to do ONE thing - drill bigger hole for the injectors on the rail - THAT'S ALL.

It works perfectly. But the SAFC have to be tuned very low... almost to the minimum. And I still smell a little bit of petrol once in awhile. I gues i just need some tuning.

Regards,
GTS

wow wicked man... GSR injectors can use... dis info helps heaps... wellz, drill hole u mean to clip on da injectors or u mean where drill hole????
