how to increase performance for wira sedan 1.5 (A/T) fuel injection

Hmm... If he want to increase performance for properly, better do engine blueprinting as the first step. Then the others can be follow up.
 
he specified already in his first post itself that he wants the transmission and engine to remain as it is and he has no plans of changing it thats why i mentioned above i felt that huge amount of modification might be wasted
but definitely got satisfaction lah knowing got all those stuff under the hood :adore:

I'd vote an e-manage + bolt ons. Tuning always unlocks hidden potential.

Just my 2 cents anyway.
 
my advice is don't waste time and money if you are not planning to change engine or tranny... just my 2 cents
 
It is safe to upgrade the suspension and braking systems to improve handling before all the power increase!!!

Hmm... Mind sharing with us why u don't want to swap with another engine? I think u know already the cost to upgrade a stock engine is way too expensive compared to swapping another powerful engine in terms of HP and Torque. :smokin:
 
by now your engine is old,for protection on high rev, use a can of morey's oil stabilizer in engine as well as in gear box,to cool your engine & injector install a morey's power booster at shah alam tyre or rakan setia motor at subang hiteck not only can restore your power to the 1st day of the power you took the car from the showroom,you also can feel and enjoy driving behind the wheel every minute of it. If the budget allow,send for morey's dynamic balancing after you strip the engine!then you carry on the other modification suggested by other member.
 
Sorry to spike TS's thread, but I'm using 1.5 A/T as well, 4G15 and planning to opt for 4G93 or 4G93T. How much the cost of it for half cut, roughly ? Will it be a good move for let say, another 5 years of car usage ?
 
Kalau tak nak tukar enjin dan transmisi, power yang dpt di upgrade tu tak brapa besar sgt la.apa yang boleh buat, slow slow laa ko ubah satu persatu..

Mula2 tukar Air filter, jenis high performance mcm K&N ke, bole jugak tingkatkan power.

Lain2, mcm Exhaust system (terutamanya extractor, bahagian kepala depan tu). tapi aku benci kalau orang tukar ekzos mengaum mcm gila, gerak siput. haha. buat pencemaran bunyi. jadi cari la yg tak bising punya, sbb bazir minyak je.

tentang voltage stabiliser tu mmbantu jugak, tapi tnya la lebih lanjut kat org kedai tu, tntang negatif dan positif effect mnda tu.

Tentang spark plugs tu, tak brapa membantu pun, jd boleh abaikan. tntang penggunaan minyak enjin, guna la semi synthetic kalau boleh, mineral pun ok ja, sbb perkara ni tak rasa sgt pun utk wira.

lagi satu, buangkan laa menda2 yg tak perlu dlm bonet tuu, mcm kotak2 barang2 beg2 berat2 tuu, mnde tu mmg lambatkan pick up jugak. dan ikutlaa jadual service.

tu je la kot mnde basic.
nak lebih, mmg kena upgrade enjin dan gear. sbb wira ada 3 gear je utk Auto.

About RM6k to 8k for the halfcut. I'd advise spending some cash to replace all the seals and gaskets before plonking it in. Then it should last you the lifetime of your car. Turbo might be too much for the Wira chassis to take in the long run though

but if u willing to spend some cash.. why not..

the options are :

1. re-bore your engine block & use an oversize piston..
2. Turbocharge it..
3. 4 throttle it..
4. change to a better torque converter (since u don't wanna use manual)..
5. increase gear from 3 gears to 4 or 5 (i've heard of this)..
7. Intake, Header & Exhaust (this is a must)
8. ALL OF THE ABOVE

4. change to a better torque converter >>> any idea where can get better TC for 4g15 A tranny?
from which car and what is the diff?
 
if use open pod air filter lose power ah for AT? better drop in's?

If you use an open pod with a bigger diameter pipe it loses the pressure of the air going into the engine compared to a drop in.

You do get 1-3hp more power at the top end only due to it being able to flow more air, thats about it. You lose torque due to the design of the pipe.
