Guys,

Does it shock you to know that the top 3 times posted at TTA are from Singaporean teams?

How did this happen with all our Sunway race team experience?? GTR club etc etc....the Singaporeans are a good second quicker than us PER LAP.

They stay 350km away from the track, out of this country and have a lot less data. YET they come here and gang-rape us.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this gap is only going to get bigger.

Any thoughts?

Congratulations to the Singaporeans for handing our Malaysian ass on a plate. Hopefully our local boys learn a trick or two, improve, and return to the next TTA with a vengeance.

Rather than bitch, whine, make up reasons and excuses. Guess what? Nobody cares really. Winning is winning.

Hint: Its called sportsmanship.

Doesn't matter what its called, winning is winning. Giving a reason just makes us look like sore losers. Besides, top tier racing are all won by a second or less.

it's not just the car, driver needs to connect wit it 2, take schu for example, how did he takes his corner, fearless coz he believes in his ride & people behind it, yes big sponsors do make sum @ big differences for the car but the driver have the biggest impact right sifuses

Yeap, 1 sec slower can mean the difference between pole position to middle or even lower grid positions. If multiply by number of racing laps, say 20, 30, etc2, then your gap becomes big already.

I would have to say that a lot of faster drivers just didn't bother to participate this time around as it's more like a traffic jam than a proper time attack event which they limit the amount of car per heat and not just throwing in 40 competitors in a 30 minute run and call it a "time attack"

elsm80 : Why do you always want to stir up negative feelings everywhere you go?

So what if Singaporeans won? They attend track days and come down to Sepang as often as the locals every other track day anyway. So if they are as good if not better then good for them. TTA is not about country vs country. It's about driver vs driver, cars vs cars, may the best combination win.

TTA was never about conflicts. It's about sportsmanship like what Ixeo said. (And the chance for a lot of advertising)

And in tradition of being a stickler for rules : Any country bashing or personal attacks will result in deletion of thread and/or suspension of IDs.

If there were too many cars at one go, then is no longer called Time Attack since there could be slower cars that might be obstructing cars that is able to get a better lap time than them. Just
defeat the purpose of the event for getting the best time. More like a circuit race instead.

Too hard to cater to too many participants a day. Only have that much time to get the event
going as planned.

Unless gonna make it a 2 day TTA to cater to everyone who is interested to participate.

In fact, the spots available for TTA were totally sold out even there were more interested participants wanted to register but no spots available left.
