HELP NEEDED! prob with engine..engine symbol light comes on while driving..

Hi there,

my car has this prob for some time now. while driving, the engine symbol light will turn n it will not run smoothly when i accelerate. it will be jerking. so i have to turn off n turn on the engine again so that it can run smoothly when accelerate. sometimes once the engine light turned on, the engine will straight die, which is dangerous while driving as the steering will be locked. most of the time this happen when im at the speed below 40km/h.

i've send for service at 2 different workshops but still didnt manage to solve the prob. so if anyone has this prob n manage to solve it. could u pls help me out? thx..

fyi, i drive a satria 1.3 manual.

First get ur throttle body clean....

Else ask mechanic to use mut2 to diagnose and see what is the problem...

send ur car to mechanic ler.. do diagnosis.. maybe speed sensor faulty..

same with me , im driving 1.3 gen2 auto transmission.. when the light appear on meter then i will be sweating.. ( because the problem are coming ). send to the mechanic they put the cable under the steering then the car can run smoothly back. after 2-3 month.. its happen again.. dunno why..

its all about sensor.... mordern type car gor more than 5 sensor...

i've send for a computer settings thingy for the engine..dunno whether its the same as the diagnosis u guys r talking about but it worked.

personally meet the same problem also... if it is an EFI... i am quite sure it is the throttle body....i think is the VDO version throttle body u have to clean up almost every 40k.... then u must reset your ECU for default throttle position.... Next goes to spark plug is common to change every 20k milage...... HAHAHAHA.... good luck

i`ve experienced the SAME problem...after my car is plugged by the tester, it shows exhaust censor, n the knock censor...i modified the exhaust b4, so i guess it is exhaust censor...
