hi sifoo's

well, i need ur opinion on upgrade..
since im juz a student, so i wont having much cash at a time (need to kumpul duit)..

my eg only have sohc 1.6 mt no vtec..
plan to upgrade rear disc brakes (currently drum) n 15" rims (currently jrd 14" heavy)

so which should i upgrade 1st?

if rear disc, does eg9 disc can fit when using 14" wheel? n whats the total cost of upgrading? anything else that i need to know before blindly upgrade?

if to 15", im thinking of 2nd hand integra rims.. whats the market price nowdays? btw, izzit as heavy as jrd? (cant afford those branded light rims :( )

opinion n suggestion r very apreciated..

thanx in advance :)

i think the disc can fit even if u using 14" rims.
last time my ek using 14" with rear disc. no problemo.

iC... so, the installation cost n the disc with lowerarm would be around? rm500?

integra dont have white rims with 4 holes?

integra type-r 4 holes pcd 114.3
eg rear disc normally cost around 350-450 depen on conditions....
installation shud be around 60-100.

if u change to dc2 knuckles + brakes.. u gotta change yer rims as well, coz yer stock is pcd100.. dc2 is pcd114.3... u want the rear brakes? i got 1 from eg6 which is pcd100 :) pm me if u're interested :)

ic..
seems its advisable to change the rear disc 1st than followed with the rims rite.. [n juz stick to pcd100, saves more cost w/o change knuckle]

say i were to change to disc brakes, what price whould i expect to be spending? (the parts itself, what else to get, installation cost, tuning, etc)..do i need to change the existing brake servo/masterpump?
is there any difference in braking power between eg6 n eg9 rear disc? n size?

thanx :)

can use the pump, but if u are really serious about upgrading ur car's braking power u should upgrade the fronts. something like 70-80% of the braking force is generated on the fronts.

currently think to stick to stock fronts n get better pads coz rims still 14"..
maybe the fronts will be upgraded when getting half-cut (that will be few years time) :)
besides, the rear disc arent that large rite, still can bew fitted even using 14" rims..
btw, is there any difference between rear eg6 n eg9 brakes?

i think the rears should fit fine in the 14's

i dont think there's a diff between EG6 and EG9 brakes
