Grinding sound when shifting gears (manual) 4G92

Mine was replaced by the mechanic but it's fairly easy to DIY. Take a look here > http://www.diytacra.com/2012/12/gear-lever-bush.html

The symptoms I had was that 2nd gear was hard to engage. Takes several tries before it slots in. Sometimes when you release clutch, it bounces out again. After replacing the bush, it was okay until later when I experienced a worn clutch fork (costly to replace)

Ok thanks. Will get the bushes first and DIY it. Thanks

A bit late but have you checked the bushing of your gear linkage. They are located right under your gear shifter.

Another area where I had issues was a worn clutch fork.

For my VR if the gear lever bushing worn, the lever can go all over the place....lol

may i slot in another question.
during morning cold start, when engage 2nd gear, can hear rough crunch sound "krakkk".
when everything hot. No problem. Smooth.
is it normal or need checking ?

Gear change at high rpm or Low rpm, but funny thing is after warm up no more sound?
Only thing I can say try changing the gear oil or last resort add some additives like lubegard or redline....:smokin:

low rpm. Start drive off from house.
I disiplin myself d. Start / Off engine rules.:hmmmm2:
learn new rules since driving this 93t
I get my foreman change gearbox oil too on next service.

My MT experience before is too thick the gear oil, hard to engage gear in the morning. If light shifting is good in the morning but after warm up grinding sound. This was in old Honda where the gear oil recommended was engine oil viscosity, but nowadays mostly is 80w/90 or 75w/90
