Goodyear Malaysia has followed up the launch of their first ever women-oriented program last month with the first ‘Survival Training’ workshop that aims to educate female motorists with the confidence, knowledge and skills of not only auto care but road safety as well.

The free community service workshop was held at Nusajaya Goodyear Autocare Center in Shah Alam. Among the participants were local television host and celebrity Xandria Ooi, who took part in the five hour workshop that taught basic auto care such as functions of the components under the hood. The program also included teaching the proper seating position, driving practices and tyre inspection. All this was done in a fun, interactive way with the use of pictures, sketches and videos.

“It is important and crucial for women to be able to take care of themselves and their families in their cars and on the roads. This workshop is a great opportunity for women to come together in a familiar, interactive and safe environment to better understand their vehicles. This free community workshop is open to all and should not be missed,” said Ivy Peng, Sales Director of Goodyear Malaysia.

There will be another two more workshops like this in the third and fourth quarters of the year. Those interested in registering can do so at the company’s website, Goodyear Malaysia. Presently, the Goodyear’s ‘Women with Drive’ program is running in Australia, China, Indonesia, India and the Philippines.
