Goodyear Malaysia has their eye set on this year’s Formula Drift 2012, which will be taking place from 19th till 20th May 2012 at Kuala Lumpur’s Speed City.
Drift veterans Tan Tat Wei (TTW) and Hinizam “Loyai” Hamzah will be spearheading Goodyear Malaysia’s drift in both Malaysia and Singapore; bringing the heat to the competition and looking to do battle against more than 30 top drifters.
In his AE86, TTW looks to do his best as he patiently awaits the completion of his new upcoming Nissan 180SX drift machine, which should have the final touches in place in time for the next Formula Drift 2012 in Singapore.
On the other hand, Loyai will be heading into the smoky side-ways competition with his Nissan Silvia S14 and S15. Both drivers will obviously be shod by Goodyear’s rubber, utilizing the Ultra High Performance (UHP) tyres – Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (with ActiveBraking Technology) and the domineering mid-sports performance tyre segment - Eagle F1 Directional 5 tyres with SportGrip Technology.
Let’s hope these chaps are able to do us proud on home-turf at this year’s ultimate drift event!
