i'm hoping that he's talking about the Windows Messenger, and not MSN Messenger..here are the instructions on how to disable it,but please, please be carefull..you dont wanna mess it up..and if you do,well..i warned ya..

1)Right click on My Computer on your desktop.
2)Click on Services and Applications > Services.
3)Look for Messenger in the Name collum. The description of the item should be this Transmits net send and Alerter service messages between clients and servers. This service is not related to Windows Messenger. If this service is stopped, Alerter messages will not be transmitted. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start.
4)Right click on the item (Messenger),then Properties.
5)In The General tab, look for Startup Type, change it to Disable, and Stop the service under Service Status.

that sould fix it.

i also realise dat the pop up will only come if i open a new internet explorer

any1 know where to go to edit de thingy?

control panel > administrative tools > services > messenger > change startup type to disable > service status select stop if it is running.

maybe u should try adaware again after that

worst come to worst use a diff browser

you cant fix everything, and not all spyware tools are miracle workers, best bet is to just get a new browser, like Firefox or Mozilla.

well
im using mozilla now..
hope it doesnt come out

u got spybot rite?
when the list of problems appear, check where is the registry location
manual edit the regedit
then use yahoo toolbar[waaay better than google tool bar]
then, walla, no more popups

i might try that as well
thanks
firefox quite cool
they got the tab browsing..

or maybe uninstalling n reinstalling ie again
well, actually u need to clear all ur cookies
clear all ur *.tmp in tepm folder...
n clear temp. internet files...

do check ur add/remove program to see if any unwanted softwares.. use spybot.... trace those damn things use regedit for manual delete...

do check ur auto-run, maybe there's unwanted software auto-executable... last n not least, juz use Yahoo toolbar+anti-spyware

until now, no more popups[sometimes 1 or 2 only] ;)

jump...ive tried everything u said....
still got
