how do you do that ? :blink: [/b][/quote] i'm hoping that he's talking about the Windows Messenger,and not MSN Messenger..here are the instructions on how to disable it,but please,please be carefull..you dont wanna mess it up..and if you do,well..i warned ya.. 1)Right click on My Computer on your desktop. 2)Click on Services and Applications > Services. 3)Look for Messenger in the Name collum.The description of the item should be this Transmits net send and Alerter service messages between clients and servers. This service is not related to Windows Messenger. If this service is stopped, Alerter messages will not be transmitted. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start. 4)Right click on the item (Messenger),then Properties. 5)In The General tab,look for Startup Type,change it to Disable,and Stop the service under Service Status. that sould fix it. |
