Well, it's finally been done! We have finally broke into the 8 second 1/4 mile with the R35 GT-R and the first to do so. This all happened this past Tuesday.

Even with a 1.668 60 foot the ALPHA 12 driven by our own Ivan Phipps went [email protected] mph!!!!!!

In addition the 60-130 time was broken again with a 3.38 60-130mph!!!!!!!!!I There is a lot more left in this package and we will continue to improve the numbers throughout the year.

Best 1/4 Mile Run:
60 foot 1.668
330ft 4.166
1/8th mile 6.042
1/8 mph 132.74
1000ft 7.634
1/4 8.975
1/4 mph 169.49

It's late here in Chicago. I just finish cutting this video and posted it below for you to watch. WARNING: There is a bit of profanity towards the end. If this bothers you, please do not watch it.

As the way everything has been progressing, we hope to have mid 8's before the years end. The power is definitely there and our focus is on hooking up without slicks using nothing smaller than 18" wheels. The A/C and all luxury stock amenities still work on this car. That is what makes it so special.

Shepherd builds our Alpha transmissions and is about 5 hrs away from our shop. Depending on who's available, both Shep and Ivan, our special projects technician, drive the car for our testing purposes.

Good luck on mid 8's
Yeap,i can see there are load of traction issue you guys are facing
Hehe guess 8's street car is the new trend if you ask me(STM Ricer EVO,Buschur Bad Bish EVO)
I see, that quite interesting to hear
This is the Ivan with K24ADET S14 + S15 front end conversion that went some 9's right
And what happened to the shop drag EVO?Any plan to beat 8.42's?
Finally, any plan to get GTR to 1 Mile Run?Those UGR Gallardo TT is bad ass
I am seeing bright future in this platform if you ask me(GTR) considering 8's happened so fast and the turbo sizing is still something extremely streetable

Yes, you are correct. That is the same Ivan. In regards to the AMS Drag EVO, we have no plans to run anytime soon. I believe our http://blog.amsperformance.com/2011/06/07/ams-germany-looking-to-break-the-evo-viii-record/ out in Germany is looking to break the new record. From our perspective, a new record may bring notoriety, but on a platform that is becoming increasingly rare, it is not the best way for us to expend resources and labor. Instead, we have been working on our new AMS EVO VIII-IX Turbo Kit, which will be out in a few weeks. I will post more about it when I make it back to the shop.

We have taken the GT-R to the TX Mile as an Alpha 9 and are considering it again with this Alpha 12. It may happen in October.

Price on the kit?

We don't currently have set pricing for the Alpha 12. I can assure you the typical cost of an R35 GT-R and the Alpha 12 Package (or Alpha 9) is less than most high end exotics, but the level of performance is well beyond. Those who know AMS understand the quality of parts we produce.

To give you a better idea, the cost for the Alpha 10 is US$64,000 listed here. http://alphagtr.com/alpha/models/alpha-10-package/ Installation will vary depending on where you have this done. The Alpha 12 uses larger turbos, a higher capacity fuel system and a few other components and tune that are different than in the 10 -some not even in production as of yet which is the reason why no pricing is set.

If you are interested in such a package, please send an email to Eric Gaudi, our sales manager. He will be able to give you an estimation at the very least. His email : [email protected]

But IMO,if you were to went through the process of producing cast manifold, why don't just make it twin scroll??
