Evo7-8 cams install into Sohc 4G63

Are you 100% sure that Evo6 engine tranny can plug n play with my tranny...if Yes i'll be sourcing an EVO6 powerplant asap

Hi trek91, you can drop in 4G63T and retain most of the things inside your engine bay except 4G63 SOHC hehehehe.... as for Airtrek NA gearbox, it's 4 gears INVECTS-II, it can support up to 200+ bhp. Without putting boost and whack your engine too much, your gearbox can last till you sell off your car. Regarding cams, you can shave it, but it won't last long cause the hardeness is not there anymore. This engine's cam is lower lifting, if I still remembered it's about 25+ compared to 264/272 high lift DOHC, so in the other words, SOHC can't use DOHC and there's no aftermarket cams for it. Kinda screwed up isn't it? The other alternatives you can go, is increase your hp & torque by putting GSR turbo kit, well not sure about fuel consumption since it's only 4 gears but proven, it's possible to drop turbo kit in without mod the engine, since compression is 9.5:1 (considered quite low for NA) and boost up to 0.8 bars, bhp about 180-200 and torque almost 300+ since it's running 2WD. Becareful with Airtrek's aerodynamic, since it's running 2WD, your bodyroll on your rear is increased. That's why Turbo version of Airtrek is running 4WD.
