It is possible to downsizing the tyres of Proton Inspira 1.8 MT from 205/60/R16 to 195/65/R15?

The 205/60/R16 tyres are very expensive and I want to keep the car maintenance fee low. I need to know pros and cons of my action. My driving speed usually will be 80~100KM/H.
(Example Michelin195/65R15 91V with online price sale on RM 275 each, but the 205/60R16 92V cost me RM 400 each)

Thank for all usefull information.
I choice the tyre spec, becuase it only 0.74% diameter different compare to the original tyres spec. Second, most 195/65/R15 tyres have load index and speed index that suitable for the proton inspira model

Should be fine physically.
TS could gain very-slight pick-up, and maybe slight improvement of fuel consumption.

less than 5% difference overall..

be cautious on the tyre load rating though...

Is actually 2.74% smaller only

205/60R16 to 195/65R15 is 2.74% smaller. Better size will be 205/65R15 which is only 0.75% smaller means almost same diameter.
I read in another topic, you do go off road, therefore 205/65R15 will be better. Using 195/65R15 you will be slightly lower, and tyre width narrower therefore traction will be less.
205/65 is slightly more expensive than 195/65 but still cheaper than 205/60R16

FC better can be because smaller diameter over reading by 2.74%......hhahhahaha:biggrin:

Same brand and type but different size? I heard before tyres like RE002 is more expensive for 195/55/R15 compared to 195/50/R15...

I say, 195/50R15 is smaller than 195/55R15. Even PS3 195/55 is more expensive.

As suggested by bro VR2, better use 205/65/15.
As for the pros & cons of this downsizing:
Pros:
- cheaper tires
- more comfortable
- might slightly improve your fuel consumption if you use lighter rims.

Cons:
- handling/steering response is more dull.
- less high speed stability, will feel more floating.
- might not look as nice (but this is subjective).
