DIY Voltage Stabilizer

:lol: :D :lol: by the way,, voltech VS is a VS design by a few car lover who is active in AW. They are selling their VS for WISE club's fund. They have done a good job for the VS and going to market it soon.

Their VS is selling at RM150 till end of this month. I think its a good deal if u wanna a good quality VS and lazy to DIY. (FYI, a similar DIY version will cost u around RM70 also). Sommomore with a 6 months warranty.

Apart from that, my VS (done with all electrolytic cap) does increase my voltage to 14.xx.. before that my voltage reading is around 12.xx. Although there is an increase in Voltage, but the response of the VS is slow (can feel when air con on) and the car still feels the drag.

:D For DIY items is veli the subjective one.. although no work also feel shock..like mine...not veli the good also i won remove it. haha
the Voltech VS also DIY based one, they design n solder. Later sell it. I heard they all going to patent that VS. So, for those wanna to grab, can go AW and look for g88.

i dun quite understand regarding your steps to charge the caps.

steps:
1. connect de -ve of ur VS to de -ve of ur batt. then connect de +ve wire of ur VS to a bulb then to ur +ve of de batt.. let de bulb dim until no light...
(this step is to charge up de caps)

2. remove de bulb n connect de +ve of ur VS to de +ve of ur batt..


Hope you can explain a bit more in details.

bulb lights up means current is flowing tru de bulb..

when bulb no more light means dat no more current flowing liao...

in other words... ur caps r fully charged

I think just plug it on lah... no need to charge n discharge...so MAFAN :lol:

The moment u plug ur VS, sure there will be some spark... this means charging is on coz the current runs from batt to Vs.

aiya...i tot where u can buy all the elna cap here...

if also can get good quality 1....but only can do bulk for 50 pieces each value...elna also, first grade not jln pasar grade...

i dun think brand is not so important.. just dat de rating u choose 105C then should be ok... they're more expensive also

if the pasar road one really so chipkai..then how those mechanic repair ur home TV etc...

Anyway,, the cap can last for quite some yrs... at least 3-4 yrs (my fizik teacher said). So, no worry n use the pasar rd cap. like wat we suggested, add in a LED to check ur functionality of ur VS from time to time.

if u find de suitable value.. then can... voltage rating from 16V - 40V

but i found dat comp power supply all more than dat... so mayb u open other things instead.. mayb radio, amp, or TV..

juz made sure atleast 16v

for sure there is different grade in cap...

juz not tat obvious if u use in normal electronic...

can u imagine a cap selling for rm40-50 each piece? they r cal minitary grade or sudio grade..
