Differences btw DC2 and DC2 Type R

ohh... so the rear wind screen got difference, but if they also change the whole wind screen to type r one... aiyah... :D

anybody has picture or knowing the type-r and normal chasis no.?? are they limited??

ok, im noob in honda, but B18a, B18b(exist??), B18c, B18cr... got 4 models engine ah? what's the gearbox ratio difference? comes with how many way of LSD?

Fei.. tire pressure for ITR 98 spec above should be of 16"... but that can also be bought as well and stuck onto the car .... eheheh

from 98spec onwards car comes with HID, nicer rear bumper, 5lugs 16"wheels, and something else la(secret) that some people forget to change when they convert....hehe


wheel can be easily changed from 4lugs to 5lugs....

4 -1 exhaust manifold comes in 98 spec dc2R and abovebefore 98 spec ...ITR's u sing 4-2-1

I am not familiar with integra specs in Malaysia but I used to own an integra in USA which had the B18B1 engine (142 hp 1.8 litre DOHC non-vtec)

USA also had B18C1 (GSR engine 170hp 1.8litre) and B18C5( Type R 195hp 1.8 litre)

Question for gurus....what is the engine codes for integras in malaysia and their corresponding hp numbers?

I've found the following info:

3G Japan '95-'97 B18C 1797 10.6:1 178hp@7600/129ft/lbs@6200
3G Japan '95-'00 B18C 1797 11.0:1 197hp@8000/130ft/lbs@7500

and

B18C 1.8L JDM DOHC VTEC 94+ Integra SiR-G 180ps
B18C6/7 1.8L JDM DOHC VTEC 96+ Integra Type R 200ps

Which is accurate? How to tell which is a real type R engine especially for 1st case both engine codes the same (on block the same)

Help me.... :smile:

We only got the JDM spec ITR in Malaysia, so forget about the American specs.
96 spec 200 hp 18.5kg (engien code start with 200xxx)
98 spec 200 hp 19 kg (has a heavier crank and 4.785 FD to compensate the big shoes 215/45/16 which will dampen low end response)
See the chassis code, lue tag for verification. Also the real R does not has a round opening on the chassis beside the intake airbox, only normal DC2 got the round hole which is for intake resonator.
How strong a bone stock R engine is? A 30+K mileage B16B can finish MME 12 hrs race problem free without even being tear aprt, for balancing, porting and changing of any seals or valve spring before the race.

For the JDM R engine it is advisable to lower the ignition timing, becasue the JDM spec are tune to runs pure octane gas, best result will be adding some piggy back to compensate the different.
