sorry couldnt get to u yesterday, was trying to catch some rest after the Fraser hill run, to watch F1.

Ya, actually tested my mini yesterday during the run, basically for the suspension set up and ride height. as for the power output, i think i am ok with it for the time being.
there were six of us testing the bends and corners, and one of them is an Mini Era Turbo, whew! that is awesome power!

hope we meet up, happy hours or tt, mostly in Pj, Damansara, though i stay in Ampang.

Hence the trip will be on 9th.Saturday-10th.Sunday September, 2006., to Cherating, Kuantan.

good morning,

wish to again, inform of a slight change in trip. After a lot of feed back from past participants, and most suggested a three day trip due to the travelling distance.

Hence we will reschedule our trip to Friday,8th.,Saturday,9th. and Sunday, 10th.Sept. So, hotel will be two nights stay and lots of beach bumping on the whole of Saturday! hotel rates will be confirm later.

We will start the journey on Friday afternoon, time and grouping place will confirm later.

wish to inform all interested participants, to confirm your entry and hotel accomodation(with payment) by tomorrow, Friday, 11th.Sept.2006
we are holding a briefing to all participants tomorrow, Friday, 8.00pm, at MOSIN restaurant, Taman Tun Dr.Ismail, same row as Southern Bank and Pizza Hut.

this sudden short notice is due to most beach hotels fully booked for September! i am surprised! Secondly, there are only 15 rooms booked at the moment, so, first come first serve!
if response tomorrow is more than 15 rooms, we will still be able to get additional rooms on Saturday, thats last day for us to confirm with the resort.

MiniCooper East Coast Cruise Sept.2006

good morning Mini owners/enthusiast,

its been a hectic week, hotel accomodation was a problem until yesterday, managed block 15 rooms till Saturday, 12th.Sept.

About the drive, we will be starting this time in the evening, from Gombak to Kuantan all the way by Karak highway, night driving for a change, test your engine and your sport/driving lights too!

Return trip will be tru country roads along Muadzam Shah, Serting, k.Klawang, etc.etc.

Briefing/trip confirmation/payment tonight at Mosin restaurant, Taman Tun Dr.Ismail, same row as Southern bank and Pizza Hut, at 8.00pm.

The above trip will be the last trip from us, till after Hari Raya.
For your info, there is still two rooms available for those who change their mind recently.(it was reserved rooms)

After Hari Raya, our itinerary till end of year will be probably:

1. Sepang Track Day for Mini enthusiast/Classic cars - Saturday,4th.Nov.2006. This will be on half track of Sepang, come test your Minis/Classic for a fun race for half a day.

2. Mini Wonder to Thailand - 14th.Dec.-17th.Dec.2006 - Straight drive to Krabi or Phuket. Probably an "only guys" trip, we'll see what response?

3. Puasa month - Sunday drives, one day drive and many places yet to explore. Even Classic cars are invited too.

Will keep you all posted.

good afternoon,

Another successful and happy trip, heres the short chronology:

Friday: All re group at BP station after Gombak toll, due to heavy rain, at 6.30pm - Convoy leaves at 7.00pm, still raining heavily, till Marang ! Dinner at Termeloh R&R, still raining and we decide to carry on - All minicoppers arrive Kuantan safely, at beach resort at about 11pm. Tired out!

Saturday: Laze the whole day, good seafood lunch at one of the good restaurants in Cherating - laze again the whole day at the beach resort - very hot day - Dinner at another seafood joint near Kuantan - very cheap la

Sunday: check out at 11pm - shopping at Natural Batik for all - left Cherating at 12noon - lunch at Termeloh R&R - very hot day la - all arrived KL safely at 5pm. Cheers to all participants

Is that a real ERA Turbo? From the pic i saw the it have a correct headrest as the ERA.. real lucky owner!

Anyway, nice trip guys.. i am so itchy to go back to Malaysia & re-do my mini..

Yep, it is an original ERA Turbo, the only one i know in malaysia, original spec all the way.

Yeah.. would love to.. hope u all will be around in 3 years time..

Been playing mini since 1994.. mine is 74 mk3. Currently the car in kajang.. still in the process of collecting Rover Cooper parts. Planning to convert mine to std Cooper 1.3i-look.

Manage to go a convoy or two that time (with some friends in kajang - most of them playing other car now..), including SMOC big gath at Shah Alam circuit back in 96 - a couple month before it was closed.

MiniCoopers Drive Into Nature Nov.2006

Hi Mini enthusiast,

Well, for the past two weeks has been sad among our group. One of our members'daughter passed away in an accident, That y the the silence till now.

Well, we are back, and we are planning a drive to Taman Negara Pahang on Sat.&Sun. 11th.-12th.Nov.2006.
Accomodation is again limited, only 3 air cond.chalets(priority to family group) and 10 non air cond.chalets. BTW, its raining season and its quite chilly at night.

Air cond.chalet 3 single sharing @rm.90.00/night, non air cond.chalet 3 single sharing @rm.70.00/night, Camping ground charges @rm.20.00/tent.

As for dinner and breakfast, all participants to bring their own, gas stove provided only for making hot drinks, that'll be more fun, less burden on the organisers?!

Trip/participants briefing/confirmation will be held on Sunday, 15th.Oct.2006, 9.00pm, at Burger King outlet next to Petronas stn., opposite TESCO Damansara.
