The coming Sunday trip seem undecided on one trip, hence there are two groups going to two locations mentioned earlier.

Mayb next time, we will organise one after CNY, as everyone seem to be busy preparing for CNY so early !?

we are organising a Sat.-Sun./31st.Mar.-1st.April drive to Tanjung Bidara, one night stay at one of the beach resort, affordable to all.
This drive willcover 3 states, along beautiful scenic country roads along Putrajay-Sepang-Lukut-Pasir Panjang-Tg.Bidara.
Meeting point at Petronas stn. just before Puchong/Putrajaya toll on 31st.March @ 7.30am sharp.
This is a family leisure drive for all participants.

an interesting event by AMC:

AMC is organizing it's first official Classic & Vintage Car Track-Day at the Sepang International F1 Circuit on the 21st of April 2007.
In comparison to other Track Day events, this particular event is open to all types of Classic & Vintage cars (From 1930's to year 1990), and the event will be filled with exciting activities and sessions. However, we can only limit the participation to 30 cars, and so far we have already have 22 cars.

Below is the details and itinerary of the event:

Event Name : AMC Classic Car Track Day
Venue : Sepang International F1 Circuit (South Track)
Date : 21st April 2007
Time : 8.00 am - 2.00 pm
Organizer : AMC Motors Incorporated (Asia) Sdn. Bhd.
No. of Cars : 30
Fees : RM 230.00 (including lunch for 1 person) Extra RM 30.00 per person for additional lunch.
The last day for entries and payment is on the 7th April (Saturday). However for you, I'm able to push the date to next Monday.

Schedule:

8.00am - 9.00am : Driver registration and briefing.
9.00am - 10.00am : Free Practice session for all participants (10 laps each)
10.15am - 11.15pm: Time Challenge (Each participant, according to respective categories, will be given 5 laps to set fastest time)
11.30am - 12.30pm: Quarter Mile Sprint (Each participant, according to respective categories, will perform a quarter mile sprint)
1.00pm - 2.00pm : Prize giving, lunch for participants, press release, etc.

Winners will be awarded trophies and all participants will be presented with certificates.

The categories will be based on the confirmed participation. All participants will be notified about their respective category at least 1 week before the event.

We have also invited Malaysia's Rally driver, Karamjit Singh (who will also participate in the event with his 1974 Ford Capri GT) to perform a demonstration with his rally car. We have also invited former racers; Hannifah Yoong and William Mae, and current A1 GP Malaysian driver, Alex Yoong, and several other VIPs.

hi,
updates on the above event,
so far, only six classic Minis have confirmed entry, when there are about 100 or so classic Minis in Klang valley that i know of. What is going on??

we are working hard with a few organisation to keep the cost down, but if response as such, how can we convince otherwise?

looking forward to more classic Minis participation in the near future,
as i know, the last event for classic Minis was in Penang in Dec.2006. And classic Mini groups/clubs are one of the oldest car clubs too!?
