hi all bro.. i thinking to BOT.. 2.4 vvti 2AZ-FE.. gonna mod with Gt2876R or GT3076R, or other similiar compressor map.. thinking boost max at 9psi only.. which intercooler suit me??? china made blink blink ok? which size? i street use only, not for drag or track use.. any idea.. ??thanks all

just to highlight something that is important beside the intercooler itself, the pipings too. Depending on the material used, and the workmanship of the welder to bend curves, pipes routing you may gain/lose horse power. Yes indeed that the larger the i/c, there are lags present, however, do not forget the fact that if your intercooler has bigger surface exposed thus more cooling efficiency leads to better horse at higher rpm, and in my case, extremely noticeable.

I would suggest instead of getting a cheap china brand bling bling i/c, go for second hand stock evo intercoolers, i got my evo8 intercooler for RM8xx including the pipings, there are mods involved in creating the piping loops, however, nothing beats stock intercooler pipings, the curves are perfect, not pieces mashed together. Even after some heavy boosting, i can still touch the pipes and they are only midly warm, vs my friend's GSR using china brand i/c, it heats up very very fast. and really burns your finger when you touch it.

is Evo cooler suficcient for my engine BOT project?? It maybe a T3/t4 turbo or T28 turbo .. maximum with 9 psi only..

so is it sufficient?

one thing i found which is China cooler is very heavy.. compare with evo.. might be double the weight in same size...

yes...my mechanic use evo 3 intercooler with t04e turbine on sr20det boosting at 1.5 bar

i using china cooler with my diesal car runing 2bar boost on ct26 turbo.. the intercooler is skyline size from china cooler, but heat almost reach half only...
but weight is very heavy...

i think the quality of EVo those cooler is effieciency which the quality of the core is more good and more nipis.. heat transfer better
