Car swaying problem

All 3 shops also check the wheel for free play and all also said its OK. Yes I always look at the alignment machines reading but frankly I don't really trust the machines. If it is really accurate then they don't have to take the car out for testing and then adjust the toe based on their feelings right? :)

My front camber is -1.5 and rear is -1. Toe is 0 on all 4.

Next weekend I may not be around. It's a good idea to meet up! Hehe who is in? What is DIT btw?

TT will be good. Last I attended ZTH TT was way back in 2001-2003.

After alignment they go for test to check whether your steering is center or not when going straight. If not, they readjust to centralized the steering....:driver:

Izso,
I tried on stock -0.7 and the outer part of the tyres wear out much earlier. Now testing with -1.5. I get good tyre wear with -1.5 on another Wira so just copy paste the settings :D

vr2turbo,
After alignment, they will adjust the toe settings to make the car go straight right?

UncleEzSrb,
Which side of your drive shaft causing the issue? Disc brake side or gearbox side?

that's... not normal.

oh well. Until I see/feel it myself I can't really suggest anything else since the other taikos have already responded exactly what I was thinking.

Izso,

Yeah prolly on the weekend of the week after next we can have a round of TT + DIT if problem is still not solved :D

You must be using your car mostly in winding routes? and cornering hard too, to wear the tyre shoulder pattern. If not mistaken, Bro. Izso now on -1.5 too....heh! heh!

Yes, the car go straight but steering wheel may not be dead center, so they test then fine tune.

Hehe...on familiar roads, I don't like to brake before entering corners. Car no power to accelerate :(
So a car's handling is pretty important to me. Try to maintain 80km/h throughout my journey.
Hopefully we will make a small TT+DIT soon.

hi bro, any updates after changing the steering rack?

I have this problem of steering knocking sound (Satria Neo 1.6) when I shake the steering wheel on stationary.. I have changed everything, now left the steering rack to change.. :banghead:
