erm .... no accident b4
no rust last time..
now got adey :(

dude,

my SM4's consumption is normally about RM10 - 60km (RM60 - 360km)
but recently one of the vacuum switches behind the intake manifold broke off...and now the consumption is RM60 - 300km.. but there is noticable pick-up increase... but cannot lah damn expensive. BTW i pump Caltex Vortex @ RM1.42/L...feel it is extremely detergent-rich which is good for a old car like mine.. :) u people how leh?

my car put petronas
damn powerful ..
more powerful compare 2 esso, shell, caltex, projet

but the smoke dam smelly

s15, hmm...like that ar...then check the rubber seals lo. my boot no leaks so far leh...

and my car...fuel consumption is around RM50-250km. but driving in melaka la, whereby the roads are all small, tonnes of braking and low speed traffic. hehe. perhaps that justifies my high FC... :P but memang nak bankrupt if continue like this.
bout petrol...my take is:

Shell (Green) (currently using): mileage quite good, but no power (BONUS LINK! :P )
Mobil (Synergy F1-purple): mileage ok nia, but power quite good
Esso: same as mobil...
Projet (highest enertec rating version): mileage quite good, power so so only.
Caltex: never tried before
Petronas: personally, i feel petronas is the worst of the lot. as some may stand to differ, but from my experience using 2 of my hondas, both show a lack of mileage, and power compared to other brands. well, i guess thats Malaysia Boleh...

btw, i've heard before that some petrol kiosk use 'dirty' methods to alter their petrol mixes to gain better margins. Some add kerosine to dilute the actual petrol content. saddening, but it is possibly true. :( dunno if u guys heard about it. but maybe thats why some get different reviews too? cheers

ps: sorry no replies during the raya weekend, my pc is down, now can use only at office.

hmm..i don't know, but my FC has went down to RM50 for 330km...

Caltex all the way-lah! :)

indecided, wah! really ar? caltex very good?? :o what about power? wah, must try. now memang rm50-250km only, gonna bankrupt man. hehe. cheers

btw, my car now can hear alot of sounds like something loose each time i go over speed bumps/yellow lines/uneven surface. anyone got any idea wat kinda problems i might be facing? is it the arms? loose joints? absorbers? etc? thanx guys.

I just tukar my engine to f20A. Anyone can give me more info for this engine F20A. thk

cfon, u can try searchin online for the details. but i think your model is the 130++ bhp. if yours is the f20a1, then i think around 150++ bhp.

hey guys! tidur lama lama ar....well, just to share my latest findings,

i must agree with indecided, that Caltex petrol really economical. havent tried it on my sm4, but on my old car (1981 accord) first. RM30 (depending on driving habit), usually can get about +-200km with shell(drive biasa, abit power), if mobil (power, but about 190+km), and petronas (no power, 180km only!). but caltex: RM 30 - drive quite heong (high rev banyak, play drift lagi), can get 215km! im impressed! :D but i just pumped another rm30 in my car yesterday, i'll see what happens soon. B)

cheers

My preference on petrol:

1. Caltex
2. Projet
3. Shell
4. Petronas (This is the most regular because near to my house)

Thinking after this will move and stick to caltex. Shifting from petronas.

Not sleeping. Just lying low for the meantime. Hehe...

Changing to Perdana already... byebye SM4. :)
