Body kit approval

Bro i had a waja which i mod into evo look...anyone here knows weather i can get approval for my body kit as the way they approve the engine conversion.

Need help here, anyone can help? thanks

I mean the body kit eg, waja mod to evo look, bumper, bonet and other change except for front and back lights.

Problem la, the jpj tahan me i die. Some more during chinese new year when i was on my way back one police car block me, he said ini kereta apa ni.... waja kah.... atau WAJA EVO..... huh.. what to say... SUI!!!!!

Oh.... i thought your body kit too low or some thing.... but that maybe you need an approval i think.... try to ask jpj see how....

Hello bro, sorry to hear that. I think in Malaysia is kind of hard to get approval of anything. Need to go through a lot of tough road before you reach. Once my friend went to JPJ and ask whether can put those open pod air filter, "Encik, air filter macam cendawan boleh guna?" He answered, "Tak boleh, haram! Lu punya kereta ada kah?" My friend answered, "Talak" and went away. WTF. Just an air filter worr. No need to ask for approval liao. What also haram.

I had the same thought cause im looking into modding my astina to GT500E
as far as my research tells me, that if you go over to the jpj website, theres
page with the legal limits to what you can do, only indications here but the parameters are clear. have a look, maybe you don't need approval at all.

also i think if they tahan you, print outthe page and show them la...hahaha

Bro.. If you dun wan kacau by JPJ or police. change back to normal b/kit. Even i change engine i oso dun dare to change b/kit.. coz i know they will look for u when they need $$$. haha.. Good luck man..

Simple side & back skirting should be ok. AS long as dun change the front bumper and the Headlight.

Jenis jenis pengubahsuaian yang perlu mendapat kebenaran terlebih dahulu daripada JPJ

Jika pengubahsuaian dan pemasangan alat kelengkapan tambahan boleh mengakibatkan perubahan besar kepada rupa bentuk, ukuran, kestabilan dan keselamatan serta ciri-ciri asal kenderaan motor tersebut, kebenaran bertulis hendaklah diperolehi terlebih dahulu dari pihak JPJ. Contohnya:-

- Pengubahsuaian ke atas rangka dan rangkaiannya atau rangka monocoque sebuah kenderaan bermotor.

- Pengubahan ke atas bentuk atau ciri-ciri asal kenderaan.

- Pengubahan dari kereta saloon kepada kereta convertible.

- Pengubahan ke atas sistem bahanapi.

- Pengubahan ke atas sistem brek.

- Pengubahan ke atas sistem steering.

- Pengubahan ke atas bes roda kenderaan.

- Penggunaan badan fibreglass bagi menggantikan badan keluli.

- Penukaran enjin.


My advise, when it comes to approval means prepare more $$$$ but its better to give them a call to double confirm. My 2 cents
