Do you guys have any idea on what to do to get better fuel consumption out of 1jz vvti?
The engine is in a hilux btw.
Everything is kept stock even the exhaust is from the old hilux, heard that if change to a slightly bigger exhaust will get a better fuel consumption. how true is that??
Mine is getting roughly
60L-320km++ if mix of highway n city also very very light foot~:banghead:
:driver:

Normal la for a 2.5cc turbo, lucky u got the vvti version, if the old model lagi jia lat...

tony: what if i retune the original ecu will it helps?? cause i can see that e-manage will cost about 1000++ sort of out of budget now.
plank:whats a water-methanol injection? how much does it cost?

Guys what about changing the exhaust will it help? since i heard mine was too small

see what rpm u run in certain speed. if the rpm too low or too high (most probably too-low), maybe the gearbox ratio not ngam with your rear axle ratio. r u using hilux original rear axle? diesel rear-axle normally have very hi-ratio (smaller ratio number) compare to petrol. but in this case, i'm not sure what is the ratio for both 1JZ and hilux.
