akuma..
8 still too extreme for normal engines IMO. If you talk about high revs.. you should ask my mech (he was riding with me) what rev range I kept my car in during the drive back from KL to kelantan... saw a bmw turn turtle at one corner... probably grip issues, since that particular place isn't very bumpy...
Still at 7..
but you're right on the bumping compression part.. high comp engines + high revs = colder plugs.
A forum with an "IMG" tag should go to waste.. hahaha..
These are the plugs I dyno'ed with.. these are still in working condition, and a testament to how well the stock plugs work.
Cheapo NGK R plugs.. :P BKR6E-11.. and they're well past 20,000kms of use when I dynoed with them. about 30bucks or so I think. As you can see.. the condition of the spark plug tip is still quite okay after 35000kms, which is the due date of my oil change and I usually do various stupid stuffs at this time.
They're still working, and I'm changing them only because I'm heading to KL again next week to settle some family matters. And I'm not about to try and find out if they'll last the near 1000kms round trip. So, I just took them out today while doing the compression test and replaced them with these.. forgot to take pictures of them B4 I plonked them in.. So no pictures :P
I'm telling you.. there is no difference! I'm going to take them out and gauge the plug colour on friday/saturday after bumping off the rev-limiter a couple of times, if they don't start fouling first.. I think they shouldn't and should work just as well.. time will tell.
dont be to alarmed if one day one wants an excuse to have a 4 dr sports car & pop your wish comes true
