Auto transmission problem

hi...
my friend owned Daihatsu Ascend 1.6 Auto.
now his car got some problem with the gear.
his gear seems not going into low gear when stop.
so when at the traffic light the car doesnt have a 'pickup'...
it's like u r using gear 4 if using manual trans....
his easy light also keep blinking if the problem persist...
anyone knows about this problem.
any solution? also how much to repair?

I think there's no need to repair anymore, better buy a new one bcoz i think the price is almost equal to repair the gearbox.

U know why bcoz Daihatsu means DAI HA SAI ( Big bully small ).
