erm i'm using a us acoustic 4X 250rms channel amp, for components my expectations are, i dunno how to put this in audiophile terms.... still learning haha, looking for components that can pack a punch in terms of bass but still have great sounding human voices.. or SQ i think.. without buring a hole in the pocket....something around rm500-ish.. the other day a dealer introduced me to a pair of rainbow speakers slx 265.. pirice was around rm680.... anyone has opinion on these speakers?

the rainbows are ok lah, entry level model, they have 7 models with the most expensive going at around 30-40k i think (rainbow reference 3 way). the tweeters will be sharp sounding depending on the amp u use, and since i cant recognise the name of your amp im assuming its cap ayam and the sound will be sharp, same case with the alpines too if u choose it. so try and look for some fabric tweeters instead of metal ones. (fabric = soft, black, sometimes silk) (metal = shiny or chrome metal/aluminium/titanium) this is the material inside, not the tweeter exterior, which is usually plastic, hehe...

Made of both oil-attracting and water-attracting polymers, the fibers are woven into masses of...
