While the Ferrari California is often viewed as the baby of the Maranello stables, it still packs quite a punch under its hood. Still, if you find the weight of the folding hardtop holding back the car from blowing wind in your hair, the folks at Anderson Germany have some tricks up their sleeves for you.

Under the hood, the 4.3-liter V8 gets an additional 55hp to breach the half a ton mark and push out 515hp. This is done with just a tweak of the ECU and an exhaust system that features a remotely-controlled valve for three different sound modes.

Damping at the four corners are handled by electronically adjustable dampers that can lower the car by 35mm or even raise it by up to 40mm to clear speed bumps. New alloys adorn the wheel arches with the outer ring painted to match the car’s colour.

Once again, carbon fiber weaves its magic wand on the exterior but in a faux appearance. The front lip spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, rear mud guard, side air vents and boot lip spoiler are all disgracefully carbon fiber-finished. Honestly, if you can afford the car we seriously doubt you’d have trouble forking out some serious coin for the real deal. The eagle-eyed among you would have noticed the carbon fiber film on the wheel spokes too.

On the inside, the real deal adorns the dash with carbon fiber bits surrounding the air vents, radio, center console, door handles, rocker switches and steering wheel.
