AE111 Ecu 'kong'?

Hi All

anyone encounter ecu problem this AE111 before? Is this common issue for AE111? My AE111 having engine off during idle and having jerk as rpm down and up during driving.

mechanic check throttle body, fuel pump, distributor all ok. Plug and plug cable replaced also no improvement. Now mechanic say is the ecu problem and will cost me Rm1.2k for that.

could it be due to other reason? Just not too convinced that the ecu can have problem as this is well maintained car.

hmm not sure is tis the common problems ..but did ur foreman check the FICD the device tat control the vacuum..if tat thing rosak ur idling can problems also......

first check if the any error code displayed...

then...open up the ECU, check for any burned mark...

Swap with any working ECU and see how...

if my 6 speed ecu kong, can i replace it with 5 speed ecu?

bro Lawcc, 99% is the ECU problem, i face this problem before, same like u, after i repair the ECU, everything become ok now.

no it's not the same. but it's compatible. you can use it.

Today the mechanic get a ecu from chop shop and fixed it, it seems everything is ok now... But the ecu price is killing me....

What is the 1/2 cut price for AE111? Anyone know? Thought of buying 1/2 cut instead of paying so much for just ecu.

Lawcc, u can try to reset ur ecu by cabut out ur battery terminal or ecu fuse for 10mins, if everything ok after reset it sure is ur ecu problem...

but later all the problems will come back again, haha!
