Hi, guys...I'm currently restoring a 1980 SA22C. Its going to get an FC engine at Ah Choi's next week, so thats the engine taken care of..

However, I need some exterior parts.:hmmmm2:

1.Front and rear bumper protectors. (mine's well knackered..)

2.Door and window (rubber) seals... (mine has disintegrated)

3.Whatever parts you have lying around for the SA22C, please email me as I might want to take them off your hands....azuanzen at yahoo.com

Also if you guys have bought some RE stuff oversea's, I'd appreciate the website link, (apart from Victoria British or Black Dragon Auto.. )

Thanks, and what great RE forum this is. I don't feel so alone anymore:proud:

can i know how much ah choy charge for d tranplant ?it is mark 4 or 5 ? i might also want to have mine done. thanks

I think its Mark 5 but I'll have to check.

Here's a price breakdown, a bit vague, as I'll be only bringing the car in on the 25th..

Halfcut RM3.5k, Braces on the front chasis, labour, etc another 3.5k. Aircon work, brakes, suspension and also some new rims and tyres as the current 13" ones cant accomodate FC brakes. All in, I expect the damage to my pocket to be around RM10k.

There's a work in progress in his place, a red SA getting an FC transplant. You could pop in and have a look...

I assume you have an SA too? Care to post a pic?

Haha small world..that red SA looks good manhttp://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/images/smilies/MSN%20SMILIES/shades_smile.gif... Mine looks like its gone through a destruction derby race... it has a looong way (and more $$ too) to go to match your car's condition.Somebody has offered to sell his spare SA doors to me...will be taking a look at them soon. Front and rear bumper protectors and trimmings anyone? Anyone?

i got my parts from japan. try contacting japanparts.com
tell them what you need, better if you have part numbers. they had complete rubber linings for the fd which was what i ended up buying.

Hmm... some tasty parts on ebay. (I actually overlooked ebay). Main problem is some of them explicitly stated shipping within the US only. Let's see how this turns out...

I was at Ah Choy's yesterday... trying to get the real lowdown on the costs but he was a bit busy la... a few guys with FD's and FC's were vying for his attention..plus it was raining like mad.

I paid deposit RM3.5k for the halfcut first, for him to start work.If you can get the half-cut for RM3k, go for it dude...make sure the seller stands by his word that the engine is good to go.

Post a pic of your SA22C la dude...I wanna see..

Heres the Rx-7 hitching a ride to Ah Choy's..http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/4387/kenatowax1.jpg

Dude, is your FC transplant complete yet? I wanna hear if you are satisfied with the job.

Hitch hike costs a bleeding 450 bucks from melaka... car was not roadworthy to drive to kl.. I didn't dare risk driving it all the way to kl in its current condition..

i cannot wait for the project to be completed. would love to have an sa attending meets and tracking!!
