Which one is more worth to consume???

Now i m deciding to get a RX-7 FC3S or Toyota Celica.
but i don know which 1 is worth to buy...
RX-7 FC3S is 40K
Celica is 100K
all second hand's car...
please giv me advise~

Anyway it is still gonna depends on what u want in return for buying a sportcar. Daily driven? Weekend? Speed? Chicks? Look?

i had also post on celica club...i wanna get both side members to reply and get the best choice...
currenly i prefer RX7 more, but my friend said it's very difficult to get insurance for a 89' years car...
and, i m worry about the repair, my friend said it's difficult to find a shop to repair... and the RE...my friend said his car last time change the whole engine that import from overseas...very expensive...

if u live in KL then its ok la...many workshop do rotaries n they keep the spare parts too. In Johor also got few reputable workshops...

Anyway, dont get me wrong..i am not saying your friend is exagerrating stories...may be he is the only unlucky guy whose engine was really f*cked that made him change the whole engine..but normally you'll know something goes wrong in the engine before you'll really fu*k up everything..then it'll need you to change the whole thing... unless someone is dumb enough to to let everything 'kong' rather than fixing a small matter.

The basic thing is how do you care and maintain the your car esp. the engine...I believe every engine is not maintenance free and i havent known any yet till now..

But to be honest,

RX7 and celica is a 2 different things to be compared of...the neutral handling, the smoothness rotary power delivery...and etc...well..again its a rotary forum, and i bet u'll already know the answer .

But bear in mind, performance doesnt come free..there is at least something that you have to pay..

And 1 more thing, it's better to experience it by yourself rather than hearing he said, she says, people say.. and bla bla bla...sometimes the stories are enough to frighten u up rather than what it actually is...

Regarding the insurance, u can ask FC owners here in the forum where i believe they are still running their FC without any insurance issue which is never an issue at all like u heard of..

Fc and Celica are two very different cars...a 100k car n a 40k car...why dont u consider an fd then?

also, about what everyone says about rotary engines is not really true...i've had mine for a year now without many issues...plus parts for stock 7's are cheaper then any other jap car with the same power..

finally, the power of a 7 is much much more

1. proton wira starter motor - rm 120-150
FD - rm 100 :proud:

2. Install single Greedy boost meter on my Toyota Chaser - rm 50
Install 2 electronic NRG gauges on the FD - RM 40

i already decided~i wil get my fc3s soon...
so now can anyone recommend some workshop for RX-7 in Johor Bahru?
i need to be prepare to keep my RE in good condition. so better to prevent before the problems comes~

Jeremy - First things first.

1. Check compression - With a proper tester to ascertain your engine health
2. Check electronics - Make sure everything is working (if its not then you can knock down pricing mah)
3. Do all the neccessary reliability mods. This will be the largest investment you will make but its once and for all. Check the rx7club forum on what is reccomended.

Bukit putus is somewhere in negeri sembilan..may be around kuala pilah area...correct me if i m wrong..i also not familliar with that place...the direction can be found in the ads...
