Proton Satria Neo S2000

Neo-S2000-02.jpg

Photo's has circulated in the internet about the build of a Satria Neo S2000 rally car. Super 2000 rally car is a class where a homologated road going car with 2000cc NA engine is permitted to be modified with 4wd system, wide body and a spec racing transmission and brakes. As the Neo doesn't have a 2.0 litre engine in its range the rally car might be a one-off and won't be eligible to compete in FIA championships; or this might mean that there will soon be a Neo GTi roadcar with 2.0 litre engine.

The Neo S2000 rally car is rumored to be built by MEM Motorsports in the UK and uses a Renault clio 2.0 litre engine (which is similar to the Waja 1.8 roadcar and Impian BTCC racecar engines). It remains to be seen if the car has the factory support of proton or that it would be seen in action in Malaysian palm oil plantations this year.

Proton Satria Neo to Compete in World Rally Championship

Spyshots of the development prototype of a Proton Neo Super 2000 Rally car. Not much is known about who is building it or where. Neither are there any confirmed information about who will be competiting in this car.

Abarth Grande Punto
Ford Fiesta
VW Polo

* Maximum of 2 liter displacement
* Maximum of 280 bhp

nice nice...... this is what we call a car. last time people always call proton car Tin Milo car. now this neo proven that Proton also can built a "car"

The originality of the body is there....but not the engine...proton need to design their own engine. Not use other car engines (instead redesign or renamed the engine). Malaysia Boleh !!! We can do it !!!

proton should R&D n come out with sports version with tuned engine...instead of just bodykits n minor mod on engines.....

why dont have something like....Latest Lancer 2.0 NA...and a turbocharged Evo X....proton will sell if come out with performance edition n highly tuned engines.....

really impressed looking at these photos... at first when it was called S2000, the first thing that struck my mind was the Honda S2000 engine... haha.. until it was further clarified to Super 2000... anyway, keep us posted on this topic...

why dont they just use the petronas engine, atleast its malaysian made.

i dont mind if proton copy or whatever...make it production...4wd,turbo,neo...sure laku

it's not Proton engine, just using the body only... tuning also not by Proton... anyway, if it's a Proton tuned rally machine, it'll be like this 5 minutes after start off from the starting line:

why proton dont want to use petronas engine?
I hope proton can produce limited edition car with petronas engine, at least 100k units. sure ppl will snap it once launched in the market.

u r way too underestimate proton and their capabilities by showing us this pathetic image. proton car to be used in rally; so be it. why not? will it burn?will it win? let us see how then. what? it wil burn in 5 minutes? how do u know u Mr. Knoweverything? uve seen gallardos burnt in blaze? yep, gallardo...always engine overheat. have seen rx7 with its b13 burnt? quite often though..
so..with this neo burning or gen2 burning image...u complain about proton.
y dont u complain about that gallardo and rx7 too? and many more car that burn.

dude..car engine MAY burn. it happen. deal with it.
