Hi guy ,

Been driving coupe for 2 years...and fuel will become more and more expensive Need some advice for any fuel saving gadget ( grounding , voltage regulator , pivot spark and so so ) ... Do advise onto the matter ...

Honestly would like to ask u guys .. what the lowest fuel consumption u ever had ... for me is rm 100= 500km

Kenny,
that means you're doing RM0.20 per km.
My average is RM0.185 per km with light right foot.

Guys,

My problem even worse. RM 100 = 350KM only. Not too sure whether is the AF sensor anot. have to sent it in to garage to check.

haha, den i better than Ken, mine is RM100 = 400KM, consider not bad as a heavy bodykit car, wakaka

eric,

How was the performance after you change to manual? got change ECU anot?

Mine also RM 100 for 500+ km for a stock standard car.. But grounding wires definitely helps on the performance

just install the pivot voltage regulator and grounding .. hope it helps

yea.. it helps! I m using some ciplak brand of volt stabilizer and grounding wires.. might change to pivot in future...

You can try sending your car to Hyunmal in Glenmarie for diagnose.
They have proper equipment there.

Sim,
how does those voltage stabilizer and grounding help?

The grounding wires help to distribute the negative charge in the engine bay more evenly.. The few bolts and nuts that holding the engine are not sufficient to distribute the negative charge from engine to car chasis and other parts. Grounding wires help in this way..

Electrical wise, sometimes we turn on head lamp, signal light, audio, bla bla bla.. This will lead to a not-so-stable spark in the combustion chamber.. This is where voltage stabilizer comes in..

yup ... i really helps... my engine much smoother now . let u guys know regarding the fuel consumption later ... just pump rm 90 see how far my baby can go

Daniel,

Sure. But do you know roughly how much do they charge for the checking?

Oh, now you got me into the mood to search for this.
All along this I thought voltage stabilizer and grounding doesn't help much. Heard from other forummers.

Ken,
last time there is a member here mentioned that Hyumal Glenmarie will not charge anything for diagnose.
That was last year.
Not sure whether they change their policy or not this year.
Try calling them before you visit them to enquire about it.

Ken,
Your car still producing black smoke after changing the sensor?

Daniel,
Research into the grounding wires and volt stabilizer before you commit. I think I saw Pivot brand at Eneos for RM 250 (both wire and stabilizer). I bought my ciplak brand at this price too..

Kenny,
Which brand u use?
