ajaxmd, depends. the stock engine spec u see from Proton paper is on engine/crank, not from wheel.

to find out, get a brand new stock car and put on DynoJet Research (wideband dyno).
 
proton claim that gen2 has 110hp,what is the formula to convert HP to PS do you know?Im sure campro engine x sampai 110hp.
 
I think Proton written 110ps not hp on their sheet if not mistaken.

1ps = 0.9hp

hence 110 ps = 108.49 hp
 
if i'm not mistaken is on flywheel.......if onwheel i think more low....mayb 90bhp....

In our comparisons for 04 and 05 ecu which we had done on a dyno machine, it is proven that the 04 with light mods can easily see a value of 109-110 on links dyno machine...with the 05, 06 and 07, its somewhat much lower, averaging at 105-107, both this cars have very similar mods.. i do believe thats is one of the reasons why siemens lower the ignition is because of aftermath of the pinging, not only on the valves but also on the piston rings..i just need to advance a little more on the ignition side..where can it be done on the ems700, please explain..i don't really think the PDT2000 can do so much..

there were rumours of increasing the idling offset to -75 or different value to play around with the preset igntion timing..but its not convincing..i during those early days, me and a group of friends got corned already, having to pay to some dealers claiming they can advance the timing by increasing the idling, which of course led to higher fuel consumption and poorer braking performance due to the vacuum differences.


bro i m using a waja campro engine now...waja mme r3 edition.......i reakky planned 2 bolt on turbo........wat u think of BOT on campro engine.....will it give any side effect plus can u tell me the list of things plus the price 2 BOT.........pls reply soon..............thanks thanks........

marky, i think u need to read the earlier part of this thread..

m1adam was pretty much against BOT on campro. but somehow i agree with him, campro wasnt designed to withstand forced induction. ur engine internals are mostly cast metals, not forged(stronger). sure, u can run on low boost, but no1 can promise u that ur head gasket's not gonna blow soon!

u need to keep in mind, that turbo engines should have forged pistons, con rods and driveshhaft. also a thick metal gasket to ensure the engine has a gd lifespan.

but u know what, if u've got cash to spend, a 5 yr warranty to push aside, and a hell lot of time for tune-ups and repairs(be prepared)... i would luv to see u go thru with the mod... should be very interesting! give us updates!

i have a kawan interested on a BOT for the campro... but before doing anything just want to check... how the engine reliability... any problems so far??... pelase do let us know the problems that arises and what to expect... thanks

how much you selling you tubo kit? with tubo and afr? whats the reliability of the car? any problems since u bolt on? please do let me know... cheers
