anyone who want to try for cars do look for the S rating for petrol engine.
the latest for petrol is API-SN. latest for diesel is API-CJ4.

the API logo (sometimes called donut coz of the round design) is a must have for EO.
EO that has API donut has been tested and comply to the API requirements.
but beware of fake API donut, even some 'japan' EO is not listed in the API list have API donut.

Got a few members I know using Delo 400 for years in their petrol engine....:smokin:
They buy 18L drums some more.....

Seriously? Diesel oils have wayyyy more detergents in them because diesels generally have a lot more carbon and all from the blowby gases meaning the oil has to be able to clean a lot better than normal Petrol EO. Using that much detergents in normal engines will not be good long term. Oil seals, gaskets, even the liners might be affected in the long run.

Personally I wouldn't keep doing it. I'll bet your friends have sparkling clean engine internals but probably go through seals, gaskets and do more overhauls than the average joes.

That he never mention....:hmmmm:
But what if the oil is meant for both C and S rated.
I have seen some like Mobil stated only C for diesel only....

I have tried one round, initially as a flush but since engine was so much more quiet I kept until next OCI.
