This really is a good bargain you got there:biggrin:
Come to think of it,maybe because you buy the turbo only so 4k
When HKS launch GT II 7460,they bundle it with a set of 274/278 cam or HKS EVC and that is with US$2k+ MSRP
So perhaps 7-8k is for that bundle and 4k is for the turbo only but i really got no idea, just merely a speculation
Can't wait to see dyno from this turbo

I am waiting the GSC S2 cam to arrive from Dragstar, then the GTII will be bolted on.
the other supporting parts is not an issue as they can easily source in sunway.

Guys,

the sales manager made mistake regarding the price of the GTII turbo.

He called me and said the actual price is around RM 9k++ equivalent to JPY (226,800.00)

He will be much appreciate if I can pay the cost price which is RM6.8k and he will bear the different.

I have bought the turbo yesterday with the price of RM4k, and I also already have a buyer for the Tomei Arms (currently in my car).

In the receipt stated "goods sold are not returnable, not refundable & no warranty" policy.

I told him as the transaction has been done, I have a right not to pay as the mistake was been made from their side, but TBH, I am not feeling good either..

So, am I just the one lucky basterd here or should I be stupid enough to pay the difference???

So you have to top up another 2.8k?

If dont feel good about it, maybe should pay the difference. At least the shop didn't ask for the full price 9k++.

Do what you think is right. Im sure the shop in some way owe you a favor being a honest consumer.

I think is better to pay up the difference if the workshop come in polite way. Yes they made a mistake but they also taking salary. Maybe future when you want to buy something they can give u special price.

i think the shop has his calculation, and the buyer also has his own way of calculation.

1. the shop is asking for RM2.8k to cover his own mistake. so, need to check whether RM6.8k is the market selling price or really its cost price ?

i am not sure, but in case RM6.8k is what other shops selling, then this shop is not honest anymore.

2. for the buyer, the buyer bought this item because the price were quoted right at RM4k. after the deal is done, now need to pay extra RM2.8k which was not included in the budget earlier. it is a bit off budget, comparing RM4k to RM6.8k.

i think the buyer has the right not to pay anything. he has done nothing wrong since the day 1. he is a genuine buyer, he has paid everything as quoted, no delay payment or whatever.

or the buyer can pay some amount in between, say RM1k or 50%. why pay ? the reason is for the "good will", the buyer absorbs portion of the damage. don't forget the buyer pay this RM1k or 50% for nothing.
if the shop is not happy with this portion payment, then might as well no need to pay.

if the buyer is to pay full RM2.8k, he probably will also feel bad, why pay this un-reasonable thing?

i think the buyer should not pay full RM2.8k. no matter the seller is taking salary or his own boss, at the first place, he has no right to request for this additional RM2.8k. the shop should somehow responsible for the mistake he made.

just my 2 cents.

I have told the seller, in any way I will pay, but not the full amount and not in lump sump. And the RM6.8k is their cost price, that mean they won't lose any cents, but no profit gain only. After their mistake, I don't think that they will think about their profit any more, just to cover up their loss.

Request for a free tune...
After all this, I don't dare to do that.

bro, I might just told half of the story, so I will re-story from the beginning:

I went to his shop, asking the GTII availablility n price, he said need to wait the order from Japan around 45 days, and total price of RM4k. I'm really shock and asked him about 500 times whether this price is correct or not? I also told him that I went to another shop before and the price is about RM7.x k. Then he showed me this HKS website to convince:

HKS

he said HKS is such a big company, they will not make such a stupid mistake on pricing on their website, in addition HKS also no JV with Garrett anymore, so the price can be reduced. So it's all make sense to me.

I also told him that I will post in one of the community forum as I believe so many ppl will be interested in this price; so that I can get special discount in the future :proud:

I have search the HKS web and found this link about the actual price:

HKS GT II

I will pay like monthly instalment, as that the best I can do.

R11,

Buat tak tahu je hahahaha... mcm tak biasa...

Kindly share any info about FP or Owen?
Interms of price, durability or better then HKS GT2?
I'm very interested to know any turbo could just be PNP the existing stock.

Application on E8MR... :hmmmm:

What is your HP Goal? That is the first question
What kind of fuel??(RON95 or RON97,got water injection or not)
What is your existing mod?
As for Stock Frame Turbocharger, the option is quite wide now:proud:
List:CBRD BBK Lite/Full/BBK-B,FP 71 HTA White,HTA Green,Red and Black(Journal Bearing or Ball Bearing),HKS GT II 7460,MAP EF Series,Tomei ARMS
Fastest possible spool up=CBRD BBK Lite/GT II 7460 and FP 71 HTA Conversion..Should be able to put out around 400whp-450whp on dynojet
Quite Fast Spool(Still near stock):CBRD BBK Full,Smallest MAP EF
Slightly Slower spool then stock:FP HTA Green,CBRD BBK-B,Second MAP EF sizing
Monster(550whp-650whp):FP Red,Black,Biggest MAP EF size
Basically stock frame setup on EVO is good for 650whp or so
