not sure about this, but china made... wad to do...it was so horrible i needed 6 hours to complete...somemore did it at nite. no need sleep =.=

not sure, im testing them myself, taiwan made taillights....but my car gonna sell soon. so...duno how it will turn out

Nice one bro!! Make sure the owner regularly use a sealant/wax to protect it, or else your hardwork will be undone in a few months.

yea i went back to him once i got my hands on the opti seal. sealed =D next i wanna get is opti coat then permenant it

Then is Taiwan made headlamps save to use? :hmmmm:

Generally, I have heard nightmare cases on taiwan ones as well. Except reasonable quality OEMs like DEPO. I am using DEPO for my rear light on one side. No fading or whatsoever but some moisture trapped in there =.=

S2tl,

I want to ask, are headlamps coated with clear coat as well? I thought it is just the plastic exposed directly.

And 6 hours!!! Manual sanding by hand?

yes DEPO is a gooding brand, i also using them on the e34 led taillights. so far almost 6 months no fading at all.

yes headlamps have plastic clear, but i think its a very thin layer that was left to deteriorate.

hell yeah manual sanding, my hand cramp 4 times xD loving the feel of it :stupid:

any types of headlamp will get oxidized if you didnt take care of it. depo, angel lamps or any other brand is still made of plastic (polymer), even original headlamp from auto bavaria will still get oxidized. why? our car is expose under the sun too much due to tropical weather at malaysia. imagine our skin expose under the sun, will you feel hurt without apply any sun block? yes it will. thats why we need to protect it before it get oxidized. headlamps doesnt coated with clear coat, it made of polymer (polycarbonate type) it will get oxidized cause the headlamp adsorb too much UV from sun. so we need to sand out a thin layer to get it clear and taiwan/original are made of different quality of polycarbonate.
