IS that SAGA BLM fast

likely, it could be a 1.6 manual? and probably it may have some mods... :D, btw you all are making BLM sounds like some sports car.... hahaha. Its a daily bread and butter car, budget and affordable for the masses, so why would it be so powerful? if it is, they'd make their neo much more powerful.

yalor..i just hear saga so powerful here but i really never see/meet b4,maybe the saga u mention which can tailgate u so close one, maybe that car got some mod inside, exhaust pipe, sport rim ,bla bla....or u r it is still in standard condition?:hmmmm: wait for my new.tomolo i will ask my malay friend who r driving saga 1.3 manual for testing during our lunch time 1hour.from port klang nearby port (pelabuhan utara terminal) to pandaraman, see who faster?ok?worry traffic jam around port klang will disturb our race...:hmmmm:

i look down BIG TIME on proton's built quality, but on performance and handling of its certain models, that would be another thing worth debating.

and i seriously think the campro engine really shines when it comes to top range speed territory.

Do it on weekends on saturday la...6am sure not many cars hehe!
If u sell ur vios for saga, u sure wont get use to the Fuel Consumption...

really makan minyak one if rev the car...one notch cost me about RM 10 - 15 depends..
Hard to estimate with the digital fuel indicator. Prefer the needle one.

maybe... the container lorry:biggrin: might win ...:driver:

jimmyae101,
i think the result of who win or lose is not important .... end of the day is both car is day to day use most important is FC not about who can go faster then who... another key point is who have a better braking system....

yup agree with u on this one

some guys like the adrenaline rush and the tremble of their right foot when speeding. these guys never care for FC whatsoever...in their head is just...get in the car n shoot :burnout:

its mainly due to super short ratio gearbox and characteristic of campro mid to hi is tastier than most small cc engine.

my fren BLM mod lighter sport rim+full exhaust (421+centre bullet+straight muffler), well i test drove his, not bad, feel the pull well starting from 2K rpm. after 4K rpm the sound is like ROARING really loud, very2 pickup starting from 110kmh 5th gear.

anyway, its not stable ler... dangerous...

i have to say the braking for the 1.3Auto BLM is horrible...its like doing some leg exercise in the gym...and the thing is that it don't slow down the car fast enough... and yes its not very stable... well end of day like i said, its a bread and butter car...i believe with some minor mods, the handling, braking and performance can be improved but still the unrefined engine and FC cant really be change..
just my 2 cents.

Yup, FC and Braking system is really not good.
If u r traveling fast, do keep your distance as this
car requires longer distance to totally stop the whole car.

Tried once emergency brake cuz all cars suddenly stop totally
while travelling around 80km/h. Almost got myself into accident
and had to swerve to the right a bit to avoid hitting the car in front..
brakes not very good.

Still, yes is just a daily car that takes u to places u want.

I guess because... Instead of engine braking, there is still a small amount of power transmitted to the wheels. And the rear drums of BLM are so small!!! This is the same case with my AE111 auto.

To brake well, one must downshift to gear "2" or "3" if at high speeds. At around 50 km/h, push the gear to N to disengaged the power of the engine to the wheels.

i think better don't do that, auto transmission is not made to do that...it'll break the the transmission if keep doing that. Should only be done for emergency.

i experienced that on the NSHW, really gave me a fright, was travelling ard 100-110..then i saw slow down in traffic, i begin stepping on brakes to slow down before the car infront of me started even braking...and pretty quickly traffic came to complete stop i had to switch 2 lanes if not i am pretty sure i would not stop in time cause the waja infront screech the tire...

Seems like we better watch our rear view mirror in the case of emergency braking if you notice a BLM is following you. You don't wanna get bang by them. Sometimes it is not about the money but it is the inconvenience. We need the car to go to work and do our stuff, without it, it's like we lost our leg. I am pretty sure, if you get kissed from behind, at least 1 week in the workshop to get it fixed.:driver:

hehehe..can run so fast buy cant stop at point?it is makin our road dangerous to other driver.brake system should upgrade lo...using gear to slow car, might good in manual but no to auto tranmisiion as it is give gearbox pressure to pull gear from fast to slow..might in problem is keep doin it.manual ok,but don doin like 5th speed to 2 nd speed, step by step.5 ..4...3...2...1 ok.should know the car limit bro:hmmmm:

NEVER put your gear to NEUTRAL in any case of emergency braking ... its more dangerous that in D .. in D you have the engine to help you slow down .. its known as engine braking ... its the same as going down steep slopes ...

Yeah I never shift to "2" except for in emergency. Shifting to N got la when the car start to get slow ~ 50km/h. Shifting to "N" when the car slows down to about 60 really helps because below that, there is more power from the engine to turn the wheels than engine braking to slow the car.

But the optimum speed to shift to "N" differs from car to car... Mine is around 50km/h. Old car. :driver:

Not during emergency la... I mean in normal braking or coasting to a stop. And not immediately put to "N". Only below speeds of 60km/h because by then, there is more power turning the wheels compared to friction to stop the car. But I guess the optimum speed for every car differs.

For emergency, shifting to "2" would be good or if the speed is very high, I just turn off the O/D.

Or how about.... Shift to "P" ?

the other party suppose to provide us with another car ma rite......the costs either bared by the person, workshop or insurance company. cos its their fault, should not creat any inconveniences for us.
