ha! ha! some people like to strechhhhhhhed it......:driver:
Yup, proper is 255, but tyres too big....
The root of my problem is.....

I can afford the rims....

But cannot afford the 255 tyres lorrrrrrrr !

Never even asked for the price but I believe gonna cost half if not whole, if not more than the price of my beetle...

So where got meaning?

Tyres more expensive than car?:smokin::mad::banghead:

What about 175/65/15 on a 9JJ rims?

Possible?

Found my choice of tyres...

Used it before, very silent, grips well wet or dry, thick threads on both sides, even non aligned tyres also no problem and can be used on rough muddy terrain...

Its GOODYEAR GT3 !

Any comment on this tyre?

Actually max for 225/40R18 is 9J but stretched probably 9.5J still can, but better is 235/40R18 which is max 9.5J, but then diameter is bigger for 235/40R18. What is your original tyre size?
original tyre it's 215/45/17 ..do i have any trouble putting 235/18 or 255/18 into it ?

235/35R18 have almost same diameter with your 215/45R17.
255/35R18 is about 1.66% bigger in diameter. Even though within the 3% rule but the width may slow you down if your engine does not have the power to drive it. Another thing will be whether your rear wheel arch have enough space to fit it. For front check your full steering turn whether will hit your inner fender.
Tyre choices are much less and more expensive too.
I don't think they have 30 series in 18"

If 235/40R18 the diameter is bigger by 3.18%. Size fitting to wheel arch is one thing. Since diameter is larger then 3% check if braking power is adequate for stopping from high speed.

I know this is hard to believe but Mitsubishi is planning a radical overhaul of its Evolution model altogether. In fact, Mitsubishi is said to have given serious consideration to axing the Evo model altogether because of tightening emissions legislation. Sources in Japan say that there were earlier plans to switch the Evo to a petrol hybrid powertrain and base it on the PX-MiEV SUV concept's platform, but...
