ummm...pardon the noobness, but doesn't the jpj have 'new' restrictions on non-same model transplants (i.e. bmw must take bmw engine) ? anyone care to share pointers bout this rumour that i heard?

last time a mechanic told,for europe made car,can dump in jap engine becoz these brand got little h/cut in the market.unlike jap,so our local made cannot chose other than mitsubishi and daihatsu.
last time i even saw a 4x4 dump in supra 3000cc

my cousin has a W124 with 1JZ, & a fren W123 with RB20. & i think W123 to fit in those engines is abit tide. seems no where for the engine to breath...

my cousin's W124.

YOu can no longer put a Jap engine into a Conti car anymore. Your car will not be approved by JPJ...even with money. They're very strict now.

If you get involved in a serious accident...you will be jailed for years for driving an illegally modded car. I'm not kidding.

Really? Unless I see his car's registration card with JPJ's LEGALLY approved documents...I wont believe it's approved by JPJ.
