waja consumption after the 3rd service is not too bad
currently i am getting about 550km for a full tank.
minor mods to the car
k&n air filter (drop in)
NGK iridium spark plugs
4-2-1 extractor

the first 5k the consumption was slightly higher... not to sure why

mine is 2003 waja... just change your exhaust 4-2-1 + cat (centre box) should be no problem.... but stay in 15 inch rims is better....cos don have so much pressure...
205/55/15 type of tyre is the best.. :P

save fuel and run faster..

Manage to get the consumption claimed by Proton
Just lately slighly higher due to
a. skip one service
b. drive slightly like a mad cow
c. almost 30-40kg extra weight due to my ice

after driving so many cars, I dare say that the Waja engine is quite economical. But of course it cant beat the newer engines like City (both iDSI and VTEC) or others. Do remember that Waja is also a lot heavier.

To me, if you drive a 1.5L car, you will not feel much difference in terms of fuel consumption.

The rear fuel guzzler now is amazingly the Gen.2 auto!

if u drive in big cities/jam, the consumption will be quite high but if u r ageing on the highway, then waja is the way to go. rumors said this is due to SOHC engine.

i'm referring to manual version.

Hi, need your help gurus. I just bought a evo3 tb from a guy in jb for my lancer 4g18. I know it's plug and play as quite a number of ppl in Singapore has changed their tb to bigger one from evo3. But the one I bought comes with the stepper motor or uou call it isc from a 4g93NA. Will I have any problems with installing it on my engine ? If yes, where in jb can I buy the isc which can be used with a 4g18... ??
