The recent 8.9-magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami that struck north eastern Japan on March 11 has resulted in the temporary suspension of operations at some of the world’s largest auto manufacturers.
UMW Toyota Motor is reassuring its local public and customers that there will be no interruption in the supply of Toyota and Lexus models sold locally by the company. All branches will continue receiving sales and orders as usual with no disruptions in the delivery schedule.
Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan has taken the step to temporarily suspend production at all its plants as the company places the highest priority on ensuring the safety of every employee at its factories. All its plants will be shut down from 14 March up to 16 March.
