bro, i dont think sr20det n 4agze piston can be compared, as sr20det's piston bore is 85mm(or 86mm) and 4agze is 81mm, so if ur choosing between these 2 pistons to fit into ur engine, they are of totally different dimensions...

well, i used sr20det pistons before in my mitsubishi engine...
1 piston broke because valve broken n hit piston at hi rev... apart from that, it handled the hi boost, lots of beating n lots of revs without showing any signs of giving up.

4AGZE piston popular upgrade for BOTed VTEC and GSR 93. 81mm (or was it 82mm?).

Consider one point though when upgrading your reciprocating parts.

Piston likely to go first when shit happens, car immediately become no power.

WHen you've upgraded the pistons, next in line to give is the rods.

WHen rod fails, there could be a hole in the block.

I add on "Great Power comes with Great Repair bills"

4A is 81 mm. the supercharged 4A pistons are semi forged makes it light, strong and efficiently dissipates heat. a popular upgrade for GSR, no extensive boring required

Two of my 4A-GE pistons gave way recently.. They cracked in a really weird way and caused damage to my cylinder head as well.. :(

Am changing to Semi Forged Oversized pistons.. Gotta bore the block and cylinder head. Anyone here ever tried it on your 4A? Opinion?

Aiyoh.. it was brand new in the box.. apparently original Toyota oversized pistons.. don't remember model no.

Anyway, if that's the case, I'll just have to wait and see :) 1 more week.. can't wait :D

Uncle Frankie,

Your bore is wat size?

Khoyos said SR piston 85mm.

4AGZE 81mm.

Big difference or is it you plan to overbore and use cylinder liners?
