I think the engine conversion should be quite direct since XV's is based on the Impreza platform. So, you probably can go for the older EJ207 engine or the newer FA20DIT engine. Avoid the 2.5 litre EJ257 engine. Larger displacement but produces slightly lower output than the 2 litre EJ207 engine.
If you can deal with the slightly more painful tax. ej257 isnt bad.... more torque and actually, certain variations are even more powerful than the 207....

I heard EJ207 engine internals are stronger than the EJ257? Plus, some EJ207 comes with twin scroll turbo. Also the block sleeves for EJ257 is thinner than EJ207.

hehe 207 is a semi closed deck, 257 i duno.... maybe kene masuk block guards but thats only if you want to squeeze out a crap ton of power.

when you want to push that kind of power, i usually tell people, 4g63 is that way~

I'll take a look on that. strictly 400 max per tyre.

4G63 are in Wira, Saga, Iswara...hhahahhaha
and perdana sei..hahaha

Yup. I have a lot thought on that too, halfcut .. Well i saw 2014 xv going around 8xk ish lowest. Perhaps later a year or two after using 4g63t can go for genuine xv sti.. not only sti badge

I've got the evo goodies list. will share it later today

saga iswara hehe this one really cari nahas.... light car + too much power = recipe for disaster. lose control, hit anything habis~

loooooong ago a friend had a evo squeezed into a saga. had lots of good stuff squeezing out i think 400 hp or something. Accordingly, half a year later, the chassis got sort of.... twisted..... no accidents or anything, it just got twisted... (engine got moved to a perdana later on, it was much happier there)

4G63T easy to get high power. Many proven cases especially in western countries where they build drag machines with 4G63T.

4G63 are in Wira, Saga, Iswara...hhahahhaha
Is there anyone crazy enough to put in 4G63T into old Saga and Iswara? In fact, never seen such converted cars for sale at mudah before.

XV STI project sounds very interesting. You get a car that can perform well and yet not too low like other sports car where they scrape on speed bumps. Higher sitting point is good for driving view too.

Is that even legal?

I think Saga should just go for the old 4G61T engine during the Lancer Fiore era. 4G63T too much...

Many using 215/45R17 as this is most common size, plenty of choices and much cheaper.
Most of the tyres are within your RM400 budget. RE003 should be around RM340, Yokohama Fleva RM360, V12Evo 2 RM350, only PS3 around RM400+ but hear some say can get below 400
