XV STI project sounds very interesting. You get a car that can perform well and yet not too low like other sports car where they scrape on speed bumps. Higher sitting point is good for driving view too.

Yes it is interesting. Perform well and practical too.

What tyr size? 215/45R17?

yup 215/45R17. Too low for good pair of tyre ?

offer i receive on the 46g3t
gbox:
toda racing flywheel
semi lsd final drive (could be good for top speed)
racing clutch 3 ft(kaki)

engine:
oversize piston (pajero)
main/rod bearing king
cranks/crank pulley/cam pulley/oil pump lighten.
e-link rechip ecu

overhaul/labour swap/endorse inclusive

Many using 215/45R17 as this is most common size, plenty of choices and much cheaper.
Most of the tyres are within your RM400 budget. RE003 should be around RM340, Yokohama Fleva RM360, V12Evo 2 RM350, only PS3 around RM400+ but hear some say can get below 400

Finally got my evo3 pv6 transplant done. All stock due, fresh from halfcut and overhauled. Decided to take stock form so that i can learn the engine behavior and has value later on when im ready to go for subie in future. new tyre too PS3 215/45r17 for less than 350.

Waiting for it to get endorse next week.:driver:

Congratulations on your new engine. Hope you will have a good time with your car. Did you upgrade your brakes and suspension too?

Yea, those were on top of the list , engine bay upgrade/mod is the last one.

upgrade brakes to twin pot and slightly larger than stock rotor. Using zerone adjustable hi/lo/soft/hard. ss brake hose, UR bar engine/lower front & back. slightly wider tyre than stock. those were the list before adding more power. handling first than power.

will leave it as it is for 3 months or more and see what need to be added/improve

Good to know that you got everything covered before going for more power.

Other than the stock engine, you probably had upgraded the whole exhaust system as well? How much does this overhaul for Evo 3 engine cost? RM2k plus?

exhaust not yet 3"still 2.5", previous upgrade during manual tranny transplant from stock to 2.5". Haha, any downside? :hmmmm:

Overhaul cost me 2k ngam2, maybe due to engine is out already as i request it to be overhaul before plonk it in. Do not dare not to overhaul as it may cost more later on with 50/50 chances on age old half cut engine.

I'm not an expert in Evo 3 engine but since you said you are already using aftermarket exhaust instead of the stock exhaust for V6, then I think it should be fine. From what I understand, if your exhaust is too restrictive, then it might affect power.

RM2k for a 4G63T seems affordable. I heard even overhaul for normal engines like 4G15 can also go over RM1k plus. At least now you don't have to worry about oil leaks or any issues in your engine since it has been overhauled.

Do the 3" exhaust as soon as you can. Big difference. Hell even K20As are running 2.5" exhaust. Yours is a blown 2L, 2.5" is too small.

Yes, but like 50bhp more only. Someone in my apps group had a video on 2.5" vs 3" piping, seems it does not make any difference if your power is below 350bhp......lol:rofl:

So, 2.5 inch piping is already big enough for smooth exhaust flow? I'm not familiar with piping size for other engines except 4G15 which I know should be around 1.7 to 1.8".

That was what the video showed, as it was on a dyno......:driver:

I believe so, using standard piping from evo3, whichever can be use for now, and yea, it is 2.5"..only muffler retain from my previous setup(manual v6). :driver:

3xx hp for ff? hahaha..i've got some feedback from the mechanic, High HP would eventually slightly make the engine mounting spot ripped/koyak from its chassis..for pv6 case la..:listen:

I heard that also. Something to do with front suspension top mounting/ bracket. For v6 one. During install UR fender bar for my wira 93t.
Chit chat with kuli is better than tauke. lol...
