No 1st party insurance for cars over 15 years?

Been told by someone that cars over 15 years will not be allowed to get 1st party insurance anymore in malaysia.... that means expensive cars over 15 years will be in trouble if stolen or accident? Anyone got a write-up or article on this? is this really true or i got the wrong information??

u should try takaful insurance...
my car is 14 yrs old.......value of car rm28k, but only able to insure rm22k.....
just register & log on to MyEG, they will advice u.

your's is 14 years... still available for 1st party. Over 15 years cant anymore I think

Try Maybank Etiqa.. just bought the insurance for my 16yrs old car.. they said still can cover until 20yrs..others mostly don want to cover 15yrs over anymore.

It's depends on who's your agent. If they trust you and your car already been long time with them, they'll continue your insurance for 1st party even your car age already more than 15 years.

Etiqa will cover for you. Minimum amount for insured value is RM10000.
Using Etiqa online also gives you additional 10% off.
