Proton Holdings Bhd today announced its latest collaboration with Petronas to supply a new range of engine oil – the Syntium SE to Proton’s authorised service centres. With this new engine oil made for Proton cars, Petronas hope to address issues, for example excessive heat build-ups without driver’s awareness or during traffic congestion, continuous acceleration as well as driving up steep slopes.

To counter this, Petronas introduced CoolTech into their engine oil range, a feature specially formulated to help defend against excessive engine heat and keep engines running optimally.

3 new options for Proton customers:

  • Fully-synthetic Petronas Syntium 3000 SE (5W-30);
  • Semi-synthetic Petronas Syntium 800 SE (10W-30); and
  • Petronas Syntium 500 SE (15W-40) (mineral-based)
The new Petronas engine oils are capable of 10,000km service intervals.
