Stalling on idle can be due to a few reasons. Most common one is idling control valve caput. It's located under the throttle body. Sometimes, servicing it may help. Do this test. Park your car at idle, stay at Nuetral. Turn the steering wheel from most left to most right, see if the RPM raises. If it doesn't, time to replace your idling control valve.

Another one is MAF sensor. When the car dies, check engine light will come on. MAF sensor also have a symthom where at full throttling, the boost will fluctuate up and down vigorously.

I had my MAF sensor replaced. A new one costed me RM1.4K 2 years ago.

Sometimes it helps. When I say service, it includes cleaning of throttle body too. Can do at Ah Wah la. Hehehehe.

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask your opinions as stated in the title. I'm more into looking answers in if you were in my shoes what would you do. If you do own the cars listed below, I'd be delighted to know your experiences with the vehicle for example like fuel consumption within town use or traveling further distances, services and maintenance and etc. Of course by the end of the day, the decision still falls on me.

Currently I'm driving my parents rolla. Originally it was an EE100 SE...
